My headcannon is that Ferry was creating a band but she couldn't find a guitarist. When Drang found out he immediately learnt how to play guitar like a pro just so he could join his great grandaunt's band and make her happy. Drang learnt the guitar purely for this smile (3:36). Clearly Drang is the best great grandnephew and nothing will change my mind.

@@zerexus2739 The actual story is that Ferry wanted to reach out to her sister by sending a letter, but Siero says it'll be difficult if she doesn't know her address. So Siero proposes that Ferry should sing instead because a song in front of a crowd would surely reach her sister eventually. Siero then adds that it has been her dream to be a musician at some point in her life and of course, Drang gets involved (he'd do anything for his great-aunt, really) and is "surprisingly knowledgable" about music, so they form a band. What's more, Ferry DOESN'T know how to play an instrument (she says she used to practice the piano, but wanted to avoing being a "ghost playing a piano, in a mansion, alone" because it would be too creepy), so the guitar she's holding is kind of just for show I guess? In any case, the best thing is, this actually happened within the game. Well, without story impact of course, but still. Drang shredding the guitar and dressing like a rockstar actually happened, lol.

The romanized title is "Sora no Michishirube" ("Guidepost of/in/through the sky"). The instrumental version from Versus is "Licht" ("light", probably an allusion to "lighting the way"). This is a song released in a soundtrack CD for promotion of the mobile game of Granblue Fantasy. If you bought that CD it gave you a costume code for the mobile game. This is a vocal version of the ferry fight music in granblue fantasy. The same theme is Ferry's theme in GBVS without the vocals. This is probably why it was recommended to you.

The version in GBVS is an instrumental cover of this one, plus a few guitar solos, because it's awesome. In case you need context, the song is a message to her younger sister, whom she hasn't seen in a century and whom she yearns to be re-united with again. That's a major part of her character that unfortunately, in GBVS, is only hinted at through her glossary entry.
