Thank you, Mark! Really enjoyed your Q & A. It's truly incredible how much you have achieved in the last 8 years or so. Was a nice touch when you mentioned your passion for Imperial Assault - the game that kinda set the whole Sorastro program in motion. I, too, felt that childlike passion for IA. And when I found you online, I threw myself headlong into mirroring your paint techniques for my own collection. You've come a long way since the days of using an old sock to add oily streaks to an AT-ST! Your evolution as an artist and creator has been wonderful to follow. You've been a huge motivator for my own journey as a miniatures hobbyist and painter. I'm honored to be one of your early patrons, and I continue to be inspired by your productivity, dedication to excellence, and your kindness as a human being.

It’s so interesting how you brought up different systems being out there to try where I’m almost the opposite. If I have too many systems I start to get them confused and then I don’t get to put the time into learning them. I’m mainly an Age of Sigmar player and painter. It fact, I only have Marvel Crisis Protocol models specifically to follow your painting tutorials as I just enjoy them so much. I have almost no interest in playing the game. Mostly due to time constraints with a 3 year old and a 9mo old. That all might change in the future but it’s just interesting to hear that perspective. I’ll probably give MCP a try when my son is older and wants to play with the super heroes.

I loved your comments towards the end about the child like wonder that inspires you to get into a certain game or line of miniatures. I'm hoping to find that again with my hobby. We downsized to a smaller home and I parted with a large chunk of my 28mm collections, I hope I can get enthused to stick with a project in a smaller scale to match my reduced playing and storage space. Thank you for the many splendid videos you have shared with us over the years.

This was awesome to see and listen to your opinions with the questions. Been a big influence for me to continue painting over the years since getting back into the hobby. Finally bought imperial assault last year after watching through that series a few times. Admittedly they're still in the box 😅 been meaning to play that and journey's in middle earth (rip) with my younger siblings since being back home. Might have to get them to crack out their paints too and all work on getting both sets done one weekend

The grand master of Painting is back with another great Video. That's Entertainment 😎 Lord Sorastro, I bow down to this awesome look of your scenery. The depth in those Details are amazing and absolutely realistic. As Star Wars Imperial Assault was launched years ago, first I was flashed, later I thought it could be more like a tabletop game instead. But yeah it's a great game, still. But as Star Wars Legion was released, It was my dream come true... a high detailed Star Wars Tabletop!!! That's what the world needed!!! Really Happy with the entire Game so far. Back to your Video. I got a question too, sorry for not using Facebook or the others social media plattforms☹ The question isn't that Personal I hope🤔 What is Lord Sorastro's favorite faction in the Star Wars Universe? Which faction you whould like to join? There is a possibility that you my answered that question, when it is so,than I miss that and I am sorry. So than I wish you the best and much success in your doing. May the force be with you Thank You Greetings from Germany

First of all i absolutly love your work and your videos, please never stop!!! But i´ve also a question. Why have you stoped your series of zombicide? I love the game and wish that you paint the survivers from the Urban Zombicide Games. Please tell me why you´ve never do that. Greetings from germany =)
@Sorastro
@Sorastro 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot Christopher! I actually painted the original Zombicide heroes before I even thought about making my first video (the zombie one). Then Black Plague came along, where I did cover every figure from the core box. But I didn't feel like covering the expansions as there's just so many, and there were/are other games I want(ed) to cover.. 😀

That was a great video, I very like that format, it also give the opportunity to know more about the real you :) . * I must say that I was amazed when I see what you did with the tree that are movable because in my modulaire tiles project I was doing kind of the same thing which is tracing some holes (small holes 3" and medium holes 4" in diameters and about 3mm in depth ) in the ground like you did and using some tin can lids of 3" and 4" in diameters as bases for my trees, and also using that for some other features as well. I also do something similar for buildings using different square space size from 3"x 3" to 6"x 6" and some variations like 4"x 5" / 5"x 6" etc. and using XPS foam as bases. Cheers! :)

If you want something like a cargo yard tile, you ought to take a look at Reapers shipping containers (and some of their other modern scatter pieces) because they work rather well for it. While I haven't played Crisis Protocol, I've used it for other modern games...mainly a more homebrew X-COM type game. You can also find some pretty good train tracks that would work for a suspended rail starting point which would be rather iconic there

I am late to the party on this one, but I had to leave a comment. I watch an absolute ton of hobby videos and I have to say this one stands out as an all time great. I learnt so much from this, and it has certainly gotten my mind racing with ideas for my own terrain. I already knew you were a masterful painter from the tutorials I have followed along with, but your board.. the level of detail and thought that's gone into it... well, it's just something else. Super inspiring. I would love to see another Q&A video down at some point. Do you think you will get Star Wars: Shatterpoint? I know the information on it is quite limited and we have not seen gameplay yet, but just wondered if you'd already decided one way or another? Anyway, thanks for creating such a wonderful video and for providing links to the resources and guides - hugely appreciated. :)
