This multi part dyno series has been some of the best KZbin content I have ever seen. The technical aspect allows us an insight that the average person simply wouldn't normally have access to. Everyone involved is at the tip of their game, and the videos are put together showing the reality of the challenges along with the forward progress. Brilliant!!!

This is the second Drag and drive car i've seen on youtube that did 4k+ HP on a hub dyno. The other D&D style street legal car to do this was Steve Morris and his Boostmaster 92 caprice wagon, he did i think 4500 HP on his hub dYno. That is impressive power from a streetable engine

Just because you haven’t seen them doesn’t mean they aren’t out there. Most folks just don’t push it that far on the hub dyno. Tom Bailey, Ned Dumphy and Cleetus are just a few off the top of my head have 4000+ hp drag and drive rides. Folks like Jeff Lutz, Stephan Gustafson and even Alex Taylor are also pretty close. (Edit: The folks I mentioned also make their power with a LOT less turbos too. This guy is using twin 110mm Harts turbos. That’s freakin huge).
@crazylarryjr6 ай бұрын
@@veto8792 I did not say there weren't more out there, In fact the 4500 that Steve Morris did, the engine in Tom Bailey's 2.0 is exactly the same setup 540 and all. What i said was, that is only the second Drag and drive type car i seen actually do 4k+ on the hub dyno. Of course there are more out there that could, But most will just tune up on a dyno (in fact Steve said he almost never runs that hard on the dyno), they do just tuning then track test everything

So cool to see the knock sensor verified with actual cylinder pressure. I was under the impression preignition is more catastrophic than typical detonation of end gas in the cylinder.
@newtonfirefly35846 ай бұрын
But they need to attend to the cause of, with the "knock", pre-detination in cylinder 5, consistently; clearly an actual expert, engineer as Ben is needed to consult with again 🙂 Shane is good with programming and "Trial & Error", but not proper analysis; required proper engineering knowledge within combustion, fuel, mechanical, mechanics :-) We engineers have studied, learned, developed the proper knowledge, thus proper design, development, verification, certification, assessment, evaluation, differentiation, discernment, analysis, problem solving, solutions, as Ben at EFI University, R.E.D, along with all other design engineers. [me included] @Sorceress: All The Best, Sincerely
