What advice would YOU give folks looking to make the jump from kitchen table play to meeting up with folks at a LGS or event?

The jump from kitchen table Sorcery to your first LGS can be exciting! Here's some advice to make the experience smooth: Be friendly: Everyone was a beginner once! People at the LGS are generally welcoming and happy to answer questions. Introduce yourself. Find a casual match: specifically players can choose to play "casual" matches which are more relaxed than tournaments. Don't be afraid to ask questions: Even basic strategy questions are welcome. Most players enjoy helping newcomers. Gameplay: Relax and have fun!: It's more about the experience than winning your first few matches. Play at your own pace: Take your time to read cards, think through your plays, and don't feel rushed. Be a good opponent: Shuffle well, keep your cards organized, and communicate your actions clearly.

Ah yes! The Kalamazoo event! It was hilarious pulling in at the same time haha. My ontario plates gave me away! Great spotlight! Looking forward to some Geyser Boils in Florida... and to feel some sun! Us northerners..

Honestly, I just need a local place to play. None of my local LGS have any intention of supporting Sorcery at this time. I am in the Richmond Virginia Market and the closest supporting LGS is two hours away. I am a parent of four children and am a GM of a rather large company so traveling that far isn’t commonly an option for me. I have converted to 100% Sorcery (coming from mtg) and I just want a local community.

Have been able to get peopple locally engaged with the game and build intrest. Biggist issue being my local shop could not get product. Only options available was to buy from 1 online vendor at full price, meaning they could not make a margin.

I was surprised when I saw him get passed my way, your dedication to your decks theme was admired! I certainly didn't mind adding him to my water deck, though he promptly got removed everytime I got him out 🤣. Looking forward to some more games soon!
