@@wizardsden666 hey that's fair. But don't underestimate how many stick around because of personality. At least speaking for myself, I'm a fan. There are other Sorcery channels but really I only watch you and Kitchen Table TCG. When I first saw the Den card when I cracked open a pack, I immediately thought of you. Fantastic insight! One of the things I love most about Sorcery is it is very hard to tell the power of a card just on the surface, with the positioning/grid mechanics of Sorcery and the flow of the game many cards that initially appear bad/not great can really shine; and the reverse is true as well. The best way to figure out what works is to try and conquer the realm! Keep up the amazing work as always Haine!
@wizardsden666Ай бұрын
Indeed, it is really hard to figure it out. Without experiencing the actual play, it is really hard to see power in some of the rather mundane appearing card!

I'm with ya with these, besides one comment about island leviathan. Island leviathan is insanely good, in beta alone. The top deck at the end of beta, winning the s5 sorcery league championship, was elementalist control w/ island leviathan as one of it's primary win conditions. Cause remember, when you flood a site, it gives you a water threshold too, so you dont have to get 8 water threshold through your sites alone. You got 3 floodplains, atlantean fate to get the threshold, Island leviathans are nutty, with the 3 grapple shots. And ur already elementalist... so u get 1 free water threshold. Now... honestly it's going to be worse NOW (at least on your ability to rely on it as a win condition), because your chances of drawing leviathan went from 5% per draw to 3.3% but there is more site draw and ways to utilize sites in hand outside of playing them... so who knows what sorcery we will see Edit: Yea, i messed up, the floodplains are for flooding the non water sites you'd happen to get, because it's a 3 color elementalist control. It plays very interestingly. Look up @moth on curiosa, it's his top deck or search "S5 league winner - Grapple Island". Also you can find the sorcery league s5 finals on youtube commentated by ira. Tried to reply to your comment but i tried to put a link to the deck in the comment and it seems like youtube has now blocked any replies from me, your channel settings must think im a bot lol
@wizardsden666Ай бұрын
hmmm, I think there's a misunderstanding of the rules there. The water thresholds from your opponent's sites don't count as the activation cost of the Island Leviathan as you have no access to them. In addition, flooding adds water thresholds to non-water sites, but doesn't add additional water thresholds to water sites. So you still need to place enough sites under your control to activate them if you want to use the flooding method. Maybe you are missing a key card piece to this case (perhaps land deed?)?
@KelScytheАй бұрын
@@wizardsden666 oh, i made a mistake there. Yea, flooding their sites doesn't give you threshold, it allows you to flood your non-water sites to get threshold, It's a 3 color deck with a lot of site draw. If you check @moth on curiosa it's his top deck when sorted by all-time. Deck's named "S5 league winner - Grapple Island". You can probably find the finals of s5 sorcery league on youtube commentated by Ira, it's a very interesting control deck. Didn't realize just how good mariners curse was until i saw that deck use it.
@carltestaАй бұрын
@@wizardsden666 Just another question about Annual Fair, can you really spend any amount of mana to gain additional threshold in a single element? The way the card reads it looks like you can spend 1 to gain any 1 threshold. Wouldn't it have to read X mana -> generate X threshold?
@wizardsden666Ай бұрын
@@carltesta Yes as it doesn't say, "once per turn".
@yumyumeatemupАй бұрын
@@wizardsden666 The deck in question is legit good though. It runs mariner's curse and uses riptide, undertow, maelstrom to get free drowns off whilst maintaining its card advantage (as the curse returns to your hand with each activation. It keeps the board clear until it can get a grapple shot in hand and around turn 5 or 6 consistently activates the leviathan and swings for 8 damage uncontested because keeping the board clear is the decks specialty. Sadly Leviathan is its one and only true kill card though, and with AL things like castle's ablaze and a 30 card atlas deck will make it harder to pull off.

@ 100% I’m wondering if it’s going to be really good in decks that have these weird swings like the archimago deck that have all these weird 3 threshold spells of 2 types, Merlin, morgana, pact with the devil, browse… you know it just seems like it’s going to be incredible when it’s in the right place.

There's that Rudy playmat! For Exceptionals, I really like Degradation for the limited format. I know it's a specific use, but it can be really devastating to basically nullify a strong unit.

Yep! It's the taco man's playmat! Degradation isn't that bad in limited as there are so many motals that your opponent will be playing!

Other than the gilded foils and curio's cards, have you found any particularly elusive foils? Did you uncover any specific data on individual card pull rates? For example, are pull rates for an Excalibur foil the same as a Merlin foil or a Witch foil? Are all unique (non-"SIR") foils printed in the same amounts. Sorry for the wordy questions! Thank you for any info.

lol Tower without the master! He's good, but it does choose the type of deck it can fit in. And it is way more easier to remove than Morgana.
