Love your videos. Another great one. Might use some of the specific drills showed there. For future videos, do you reckon you could show what drills to do, in order to help with specific shots? I mean this one had some, but a video dedicated to breaking down some drills that can ACTUALLY improve your badminton skills if your a beginner to drills, feeders, and whatnot. I’m happy that I’ve taken up badminton again. And it’s all because of this channel.

Great video guys. I like the content a lot, I can take these drills to the kids at my club. Georgina is amazing, her back hand return at the net kissed the tape every time, amazing ability. Keep up the good work, thank you all very much.

Thanks, as usual, very informative video! :) Hi Swift Badminton, I have a question. What if you did not know if the opponent will play drop or smash. Where should you be standing? Of course in the center, but little bit of front court or little bit to the backcourt? Thanks.
@PinoyGuitarTutorials5 жыл бұрын
@Ben Beckman Thank you for the reply. Yes I already know that you must position slightly the same side as my opponent, but is it a little bit to the (front)service line or a little bit to the back? Thank you.

OMG this pace already looks LIGHTNING quick - I can’t even imagine how inhuman it’d be like if it’s Marin or TTY??? 😱
@Alpha957825 жыл бұрын
No doubt the footwork is lightning quick but trust me, these movements are really uneconomical and energy-sapping. They lack the element of anticipation and this can be heavily draining in a three-game match up. Till the time you're youth and can afford this, it's great, but once you hit 27+, you can't sustain it at all. With these movements, your chances to crush your ACL (Marin recent example) becomes seriously high if you're a female athlete. Develop three things - The anticipation and (hamstring + calf) strength. This will allow you to plant your non-racquet leg firmly and extend your primary leg across all corners without unnecessary non-racquet leg drag. This way, you would look like you're barely moving at all. Lin Dan might look slow, but it's the sheer strength his legs have that allows him to plant his non-racquet leg so firmly that allows him to reach to all corners without unnecessary drag. Momota developed on this about seven or eight months ago, and is ruling the courts. In simple phrase, don't let someone's lightning fast movements blindfold you. It's only half the battle won. - Coming from a former professional who also crushed his knee (ACL) by focusing heavily on quicker movements.
