I always come back to this video because it makes me feel nostalgic -- even though it's about a toy from 40 years ago, I still love how MAPPY moves (and the song in the background), it makes me want to cry out of joy. @@poweroffriendship2.0 In 1980 with "Goro Robot" (Later named "Nyamco" in related videogames) and later in 1981 Mappy Maze solving Robot was launched. Both toys were on large size. In 1983, along with game, Namco launched this version of maze solving robot.

He has 4 games to his credit, Mappy for arcade, NES, Game Gear, and various compilations. Hopping Mappy for arcade and X68000, and on Wii VC in Japan. Mappy Land on NES, and on Famicom, Mappy Kids, though I'm not so sure if he's the star in it.

I don't get the point of this. Is it a game? Because from what it looks like, the mouse will ALWAYS end up getting to the cat no matter what. Since the mouse can always turn itself around it will eventually find the cat no matter how hard you make the maze. There should be some sort of time limit where the mouse stops after a certain time and if he hasn't found the cat, you "win."
