LOL at Colin taking advantage of Ryan being interrupted in the middle of his squirting mustard by pulling the switcheroo when they get back to the same point in the scene :P

What I am trying to say is that I don't really care about the differences, infact I think it is great that their not exactly the same programs in the two versions and I just love to watch both of them. ;-D As long as it is great impro by these incredibly funny talented guys I really don't care which version the episodes are from ;-D

Need to share that this Home Shopping reminded me of that Monty Python sketch where they try to sell you pictures of other people to decorate your house. So funny

ok i have to reply to myself just to make this clear: I have NOTHING against the US version. it's what i grew up with and have loved forever. I just don't see the point in arguing with which was better because they obviously had many differences culturally, many of which could not be changed even if they wanted them to be.

Neither Colin or Ryan tried the famous shove-the-face-into-the-grill maneuver of 1986?

I don't see why people don't like the Brittish version I think it is just as good as the american... and btw i'm American and i get the humor so don't insinuate that all Americans are dumb ;D but overall I agree watch more of the show and gain knowledge about it before bashing

Why do people continiue to discuss weither or not it is the UK or the US version of wliia that is the best??? When I first discovers it (the US version) about 6 months ago I just coundn't stop watching it. After finishing all those episodes I continiued with the UK version, which I have to admit, I needed a few episodes to get use too:) (especially the change from Drew to Clive. (I do realize that it happened the other way around:)

@VibratingChicken It should be obvious that the host would be British. It's the UK version after all. Clive is great. A lot of people don't understand him because they don't make an effort to understand him. British humor consists of a lot of word play, tone, and presentation from the voice, where as American humor often tends to be much more physical. All other differences are fairly petty and easy to overcome for someone even slightly educated about British culture. There should be no barriers

@godamnyouall actually, many people hated that drew participated and there's plenty of people who love the US show, but didn't find drew funny at all. i personally love him and he's a strong improviser now.

i thank you for agreeing with me, but the audience bit is a bit irrelevant. as a performer myself, i know audiences are part of what a performer thrives on. the energy, whether it be vocal or not, is constantly felt and ultimately determines what comes next. as such, i have nothing against the US audience. it's just another cultural difference that should be considered.

i take it that this is one of the only uk shows you've watched. i suggest watching the whole uk series before you go bashing on cliive. he's a fine host. although you'll probably think the uk performers aren't funny just because you're use to american humor opposed to british humor, which is often a lot more witty and uses words you wouldn't understand.

@benzagel Whether or not he was clever is irrelevant. The fact that he was faster on the buzzer than Drew and cut off scenes every time the performers were having fun got really annoying after a while. Drew was dumber, but at least he let the performers do their thing.
