hey so im transferring to usf in the fall and will be a junior...I want to get acclimated first and was wondering if you can still rush in the spring? thanks

hey! that's so exciting! transferring to USF is one of the best decisions I've ever made :) and joining a sorority as a transfer student is a great idea too - it helped me feel like I fit in here super quickly! there is recruitment in the spring, but it is "informal," so just know that not all chapters are guaranteed to participate in it! for example, my sorority took new members in the spring this year and last year, but the year before last we did not. spring recruitment also follows a very different process than "primary" recruitment in the fall because there aren't big organized "rounds" that you go through or anything! also, don't quote me on this, but I think there are a larger number of girls who don't receive a bid in the spring because chapters have fewer spots to fill. it is a great option for people who don't love the traditional sorority "rush" experience though! if you are looking for a more casual, low-stress way to explore greek life at USF, I definitely recommend going through spring recruitment. hopefully that helps you!! good luck in your transfer process and go bulls!!!!
