i love trends =)
@blastmybrainoff10 жыл бұрын
hella In my opinion "trend" or "fashion" as a phenomenon is the main reason for the *rat race* in music; Artists produce music for the masses, chasing after money. And masses on the other hand listen to what the others (as in the majority of others) listen, because it's cool, it's *trendy* So artists who get sucked in to producing the mainstream music are scared to to completely switch their style due to the fear of losing listeners. Think about the biggest "trend" in music, which genre has the biggest fanbase? Pop-music(popular-music btw), Think about Rihanna, Pitbull(IDK so much about pop music, the artists might be a little off) or w/e are the biggest pop-music stars, how much does their style vary? Little to not at all. This has happened in other genres too, think about AC/DC and their fame, then think about how much their songs are alike.. =) Luckily there are exceptions (Such as Savant) who don't give a flyin' shit about what *others* wan't. Those artists make music for *themselves* and their fanbase consists of only true fans who have a similar taste in music. Sorry for the wall of text. *TL:DR Trends constrain artists to not be creative.*

Liam Robertson Yeah, i did. Care to tell me why it's not?
@liam_iam10 жыл бұрын
EternalHipster It is more grimey. dubstep is *definitely* not this. i'm not a master of genres but dubstep tends to be a little bit heavier (except for melodic dubstep, and this isn't particularly melodic)

If it had a more interesting bassline, I'd love this. It doesn't have to be a full-on brostep bassline, but at least a bit more interesting. As it is tho, it's okay.

Never really had the chance to listen to Sorrow before now. I guess this is it. Have to say, not bad, but not melodic enough for me.
@ImperialLobster10 жыл бұрын
Sorrow has done much more melodic stuff in the past. His future/ambient garage stuff is incredible.
@Qre8iveNL10 жыл бұрын
Check out My Love from Sorrow. Different stuff, way more melodic and still my favorite track of all time!
@dalton796410 жыл бұрын
The rest of this EP is more melodic. His music varies a lot, from deeper melodic stuff, to heavier dubstep/grime styles. Listen to Never Too Far or Lifedance off of this specific EP for more melodic stuff.
@alexanderpalmisano322510 жыл бұрын
ImperialLobster I actually forgot until I posted that I had heard Never Too Far on Soundcloud yesterday. THAT I really liked. This is probably the wrong place to say this, but I will always prefer Green and Blue KOAN Remix vibes the most. That is the perfect melodic chill track in my mind. Well, not really, but those kinds of vibes are the just the best.
