I'm Native American. Ty for properly explaining fry bread. It's often confused as traditional when our food is actually very vegetable and grain centric + fish and game meats. Kudos ❤😺 That being said fry bread is stupid delicious and if you see it try it! My husband is from another country and I was heartbroken they were out of fry bread at his first powwow. I really wanted him to try it and it's fairly uncommon in our state. 😿

Dad was Air Force and his last two stations in the USA were California and Colorado. After he retired in Colorado, we stayed there. He and mom loved seeing anything we could drive to in a day or two, so I got to see so much of Southwest America. I got misty eyed each time I went to the Grand Canyon. If you are ever in the 4 Corners area again, I HIGHLY recommend Mesa Verde. It's beautiful, and the ancient cliff dwellings are a marvel in themselves. I've now retired to Las Vegas, and now only a few hours from the Grand Canyon. I also highly recommend a trip to Yellowstone in Wyoming if you ever get back to the States. Once you get past the fact that you are essentially on a massive volcano, the beauty of the area is outstanding, as is the wildlife.😊

For those who remember from back in the day this is high praise. Keith Floyd was a TV chef who went to various places around the world and explored their geography and culture through the lens of food and the rapport that enthusiasm for learning about their food gave him with the locals. It put a passion and enthusiasm for all of the places he visited that projected out of the screen and made you want to go to those places, experience that culture and eat that food. Jamie has just pulled off a complete Keith Floyd.

I am Irish and that resonated with me so much. Our foods also tell the history of our people and the suffering we went through. Much of our recipes and staple food tradition were born out of our hardships that we endured at the hands of colonisers. We celebrate them now, as our comfort foods and we even have taken on some of the foods of our colonisers as our own traditional comfort foods. They are not the dishes that are known throughout the world as Irish but we still have them and they are such a part of our history that not every Irish person even knows they come out of hardship and suffering

The Grand Canyon is the single most beautiful and amazing land formation my eyes have ever seen. Photos and video do not do it justice. If you can only see one thing in America, my recommendation is the Grand Canyon. It is stunning.

As a Phoenician, WTF? How can you call that an Arizona Food Trip/Tour without even making a stop in Phoenix? The food scene over the past 15 years has grown to rival any major US metro area. Very disappointed that PHX wasn't represented. It didn't even need to be the main course, but to just completely gloss over it and go right through to Tucson... that's almost a slap in the face. ;) You could have even stopped off at the Superstition area to get some good tourist type stuff. Besides the Phoenix slight, Jamie did really well in his choices. The Grand Canyon flight as the boys first time seeing it in real life had to have been crazy. I remember seeing it for the first time as a kid. I couldn't even take it in because it was just so huge.

Haha I'm so sorry... 48 hours is so little time and there were SO MANY things I wanted to do in Arizona!! I'd planned some stuff in Phoenix, but it just didn't work out with the itinerary in the end! In particular, I wanted to take the boys to the Musical Instruments Museum in Phoenix, because Luce and I loved it on our honeymoon 😂

Well done Jamie! That was an epic 2 days. I love this format. While obviously you cant go gallivanting across the globe all the time, id love to see more similar stuff. Its really fun seeing you guys out and about doing stuff as a group. I look forward to seeing what the rest of the guys can offer for the rest of tue series.

This is great! Welcome to my beautiful country! You seem to have discovered the best here in the South West so far - fry bread, Tucson, Mt. Lemon - well done!
