Loved seeing your stash. Always inspiring. I wanted to have you start the deep purple one with the fluff. Beautiful. When i have something so stunning I find simple sweaters are best. I know you werent interested in big designers but a lovely crew like the felix is wonderful. I have a much bigger stash because I have been collecting for years. I am guilt free as it gives me great joy. Think of all the EXPENSIVE hobbies out there and rejoice yours is within nearly everyones reach. Ever been skiiing? One weekend burns more than a whole year of lovely knitting by the fireside. Hope you are loving being a mom. Such a precious time.

I can only dream of my stash being this big OR of my mother knitting me jumpers!! Babies on the move are HARD, especially in that stage when they can move but are not yet aware enough that they don't hurt themselves. But it doesn't last for ever! Such good sweater yarns Hannah! That unicorn colour with the fluff would make a gorgeous whitmoor sweater or cardigan! I’m almost done with a boucle ling sleeve Tolsta and that really does help the yarn go a long way! Xx

My stash is toooo massive (multiple crates full) so I totally relate to you when you talked about being overwhelmed by it. I have a few summer pattern recs for your white yarn with the bright speckles - the why knot (unwind knitwear, I believe), the petal party crop (Samantha guerin) and the scotch broom crop (wool & pine) would all look lovely in that. I have the why knot on my list for next summer. See you next time x

Hi Hannah. I love the yarn you have set aside for all those sweaters. They will all look great. Getting your mum make to some is a good idea since you are a mum now and very busy. I haven't knitted an adult size sweater before and I am looking at the Artic Sweater or Salty Days sweater from Veronika Linberg.. I am using my single skeins to knit socks and I have been madly trying to get a few done for friends for Christmas even though it will be very hot by then here in Perth Western Australia. I know they will use them when they go down south where it is much cooler and also in winter Take care and hope you are having a great weekend.

I am getting the Through the Wardrobe Yarn Co advent this year after watching you open it last year. I'm so excited, it will be my first purchase from Selina. She has such beautiful colourways. You have a lovely stash of future sweaters and how lovely of your Mum to knit some for you - I think definitely ask if she would knit some of your had dyed stash into sweaters for you.

Lovely yarns. I have a relatively small stash. But I'm a slow knitter, and my stash has to fit in a specific storage. Right now it is at max. So I really shouldn't add to it. I've gone through every yarn, and most of it has a plan for what I will be knitting. I allow myself to buy yarn. Only if it's for a specific gift I don't have yarn for and I'll be casting on immediately. So right now I'm good with what I have. As long as I'm moving forward with balancing knitting with stash & buying yarn for a specific project.

You may find you're less frequently nap trapped, so knitting opportunities could arise!! I love all the options you have with the sweater stash. I would be interested in a chill Elf Mail KAL. I have a couple Suri skeins that I desperately want in a sweater

Thank you for sharing your stash with us, I am sorry it stressed you more. My stash is definitely larger, but, I am OK with that as I don't live near a big yarn store or a big festival so I tend to purchase things as I see them and like them.

Having your mom make you something isn’t a bad idea, I think my yarn stash is bigger it’s everywhere in the house so I don’t really know what I have I told my husband I need to get a board and hang it on the wall and put my yarn on it so I can see what I have can’t wait to see what you make with it all 😊

I can definitely identify with being overwhelmed by your stash. I have a lot of yarn from 30 years of knitting (and stashing). I'm also a spinner so I have a substantial fibre stash as well and fibre, and especially unprocessed fleece, takes up a lot more physical space than yarn so it feels super daunting. In theory I have the time to deal with it all, in practice it can be paralyzing. I am trying to focus on the small wins of a skein gone into a pair of socks or a braid spun intentionally into something I want to use instead of just fretting about what's still waiting to be dealt with.

I don't have many sweater quantities but overall the stash is bigger. But it also includes mass market acrylic that I use for gifting and market makes.

My stash is only worse because I have no dedicated space, I just have several nooks and crannies where I stuff them and it's truly out of control, even after purchasing a couple of huge boxes. So my stash is totally my priority for next year, although I am still considering buying my first ever Advent in 2025 🤞🤞 The good thing is that I haven't lost my enthusiasm for my stash at all

My stash is worse, so my plan for 2025 is to knit as many sweater quantities (have 10) as I can, with some socks thrown in the mix too for travel knitting.I too want to end this year and next with less than I started with. It's my spinning fibre that has become the major purchasing point over the past few years... so my plan is to shop on festival this year :)

I love seeing other people's stash, though it makes me feel like I should take a picture of mine to share back so this isn't so one-sided. Have you heard of Zanete Knits? I just found this designer on Instagram and am knitting my first one. The patterns I bought are all easy to understand and she has videos for most of them.
