As someone who has been a massive Monoma fan every since he was introduced, this stuff was so PEAK for me. I remember being kinda disappointed that Monoma was introduced as this super calm and super intelligent guy and then very quickly became more like a gag in every instance after his appearance. But then one day Hori made a comment that Monoma and Shinsou would have big moments in the future. So I waited. And this did NOT disappoint. Monoma warps the heroes in, splits the villains up, hops over to Aizawa and then IMMEDIATELY has Shigaraki on lockdown. MVP Monoma for the win. I get it. Everyone is playing their part in this. But like, if Monoma wasn't here, Shigaraki could literally just insta-decay the battlefield and all of this planning wouldn't matter. I'm sure some people will come around to him after this episode. But as someone who's been a fan of his since the beginning, this episode was especially rewarding. He's the star. Now then, that's enough Monoma analysis. Time for the others. Toga snatched Deku and threw a huge wrench in the entire operation. AFO roasting Endeavor for once again looking away from Touya and forcing the burden onto Shoto is definitely something. AFO seemingly was about to use a massive decay wave but Shigaraki seemed to stop him. Reason being, Dabi had already leapt out in front of him. So if AFO decayed everything in front of him, Dabi would've likely been caught in the crossfire. Now, despite AFO clearly being in control at the start of the battle, Shigaraki makes that comment at the end about thinking that he used to think Aizawa was cool but right now he's just a letdown. That obviously isn't AFO. Shigaraki is the only one who's ever thought Erasurehead was cool. As he said in S1 and 6. The line between AFO and Shigaraki has become so blurred that it feels like either one can step into the drivers seat at a moments notice. Despite that, there's still some resistance from Shigaraki's side(as we saw when he stopped the decay wave). Monoma pulled the strings. And now the battles are about to begin.

Small clarification, Monoma's time limit on Quirks is dependent on when he touched the person to copy the Quirk. So if he's in constant contact with the person in question, the time limit is constantly being reset, effectively meaning there is no time limit, and it would only disappear if Monoma and Aizawa don't have contact for the entire length of the time limit.

Just goes to show the point of the show, everyone can be a hero and sometimes you need everyone to be one. Without even some of these more "boring" powers the whole plan falls apart.

Btw guys. Shigaraki can control what he decays. So no the villains wouldn't have died. But also that moment was the show that the fusion that was supposed to be complete isn't as perfect as you'd think. Afo should be in complete control here but that moment shows that he's not in complete control. But yeah no shigaraki wouldn't have killed any of the villains

I'd like to think that hesitation was Shigaraki essentially protecting Toga and Dabi from AFO. Yes, he can control decay, but whose to say AFO doesn't just let loose anyway because to him everyone is just a pawn to get him to his brother.

I figured it was Shigaraki trying to destroy everything, but AFO stopped him because he wants Deku alive and intact so that he can steal back One for All.

Hello, Semblance of Sanity & other fans of MHA. I like SOS's interpretation of All For One being the one stopping Shigaraki from using Decay the first time, but I'd like to think it was the opposite. Shigaraki differs from All For One in that he cares about his friends and wouldn't want to hurt them, something that makes him different than All For One in that people are just tools to further his goals. I think the All For One persona inside Tomura wanted a clean, swift end to the battle, but Shigaraki prevented him/himself from doing any damage to his team. From what we've seen and heard so far, Shigaraki can control his Decay, so he can target the heroes and protect the villains. On the other hand, All For One is only interested in Deku's One For All, and he will stop at nothing to obtain it-even if it means killing his numbers. We as fans now have to know both characters really well to tell who's who, and we have to ask ourselves, "Is this something All For One would do or say?" or "Is this something Shigaraki would do or say?" It's cool and kind of hard to tell who's who in the story since their consciousnesses are merging to create a new entity, which is so scary, but I really like it. I can't wait.

I think the one that stopped him from using Decay was actually Tenko, not AFO. Since Shigaraki can literally decay the entier ground on kilometers, but not some capsuls underground far away from him, there's no way he wouldn't be able to specifically not decay his allies, but the ground and his enemies. Meaning that, it wouldn't make sense for neither AFO nor Shigaraki to stop the decay.

It's beautiful to see how the heroes take the same strategy that the league of villains used against them in their first attack at the USJ and reversed it. Pure poetry. Or as George Lucas would say, the story needs to rhyme 😊

All for One didn't wait until Kurogiri was out of the picture to use the warp quirk. AFO used it during season 3 ep 8 for the first time when All might had caught the LoV in the bar w/ Bakugou. All might had to chase them down and then we had the All might vs AFO fight. Funny enough, he also explained the limitations of the quirk during those episodes as well.

@@CaffieneKitty knocked out temporarily at that point, what i mean by "out the picture" is not in a position to be useful at all, so basically him being in prison. You can consider him officially out the villain's side of the fight at this point.

Here's a fun little tip. When AFO is in control of Shigaraki's body, he has no pupils. When Shigaraki is in control/fighting back, he has pupils.

Overall, the heroes’s plan wasn’t a bad one honestly. It’s definitely better than their first one during the original war. Honestly, I was cheering super hard for Shoto. I hope he gets his soba wish with Touya.

Bakugo seriously hurt Deku more AGAIN to be recognized by the pros to be put on the Shigaraki team. He was completely ineffective in season 6, so unless they saw proof he COULD hurt Shigaraki he wouldn’t be on this team. Also Shinso has a running progression of saying no I can’t do this with my quirk, then IMMEDIATELY having it figured out either right after a fight or overcame it in his next training. Though to be fair he faced 8% of Deku’s 20% level last time and now Deku is at borderline 75% OFA control. And Monoma it is CATHARTIC to watch you be obnoxious to those that actually deserve it. His training to be an absolute nightmare was WELL worth it now. And 10 minutes of Erasure is going to be OP! (Aizawa doesn’t know of Monoma’s training)
