Bosse hits the demon with a blow and it collapses. Also, you see throughout the episode Bosse hitting 3 of the big 4. And they take the blow. Even Bebin's test was withstanding a blow. He knows that the big 4 can take his hit. A cool way to show how he checks the strength of the demon dogs in relation to the big 4. Which will have significance in the next.ep.

I feel like so many people watching this show are far too soft on Bosse. He decieves a woman to have a child with him when the only reason he approaches her, marries her and have a kid is so he can sap the strength from that child. He lies to everyone, except Miranjo who already know everything up until he dies. I feel like a big part in why he forms his kingdom is not love but guilt and shame toward what he, a grown giant man, did to an infant. Even with all of that he pushed this notion onto Bojji that what matters is physical strength, because that's the only strength he really cares about, even though he knew full well that he had drained every ounce of strength from his son. He never really asked Bojji what he wanted and needed. Imagine if he had made sure most people in the kingdom learned JSL so Bojji wouldn't be as isolated from people and conversations. He could have been more free and had children to talk and play with. The king is such a coward and even when brought back it is clear that he doesn't mind putting people he should protect in physical danger and mental distress.

This is the comment I was looking for! Bosse stole everything from Boji and still didn't build a kingdom where his son would have the same opportunities. He hid his mistakes and hoped they didn't catch up with him, dragging everyone involved u.u

@@thrashinuva Nope! Tanjiro is voiced by Hanae Natsuki, and Midoriya is voiced by Yamashita Daiki, who also voices Hokuro. Their voices are similar, but Hanae Natsuki's is more tense and comes from higher in the throat under stress, and Yamashita Daiki's is more raw and throaty.☺

Normally THIS is the episode where people start to realize that each character is way more than what they appear to be, that each has their own thoughts and motivations. Which is why I love the first half of this show so much. These discussions are obviously perfect for this kind of complexity, and bring a lot to the table, making it even more interesting. I think more than writing complexity, I really prefer the character complexity in stories. And this just makes me appreciate more that this is probably the best channel for reactions and discussions on that aspect I've come across. Like, the discussions on Monogatari, Oregairu, etc. (there's still some animes I didn't watch). Are an absolute must watch.

Possibly a spoiler?: Bojji is said to be the strongest person because he was born of the two mightiest giants, the curse obviously wasn’t broken when Bosse died, so it’s not broken now that he’s been resurrected, it’s basically just that “you are currently being amped up with the strength of who would otherwise be the strongest person in the world.” His strength did not return to him.

Bosse must've told Dorshe something other than "I'm Bosse" because if he wanted to reveal only to Dorshe and Domas his identity he wouldn't have said "I'm not Daida, I'm Bosse" out loud in front of everyone in front of Queen Hiling at the end of the episode

I've always looked at Bojji having no strength, in terms of RPG stats. Bojji has a permanent debuff to 0 on his strength, which means he autofails any strength checks. However his agility/speed stat is untouched allowing him to train and develop his speed and dodging, even though in real life speed cannot be divorced from strength

The strongest does not mean physically strong. Just as the number one ranked king is not necessarily the physically strongest king. I think it is very telling that Caleb goes for the ultra-literal interpretation despite the fact that Despa explicitly said that Bojji cannot increase his strength.

Random rant that does not reflect my opinion of the show: I haven't seen how it ends but this show better not say attempted murder is ok because they had a complicated backstory. Im not talking about Domas, he's earning his redemption. So far Bosse is just accepting attempts at both Boji's and Hiling's lives. "He knows they are going to fail" is not an appropriate excuse. And everyone's indecisiveness should've got somebody they care about killed. I absolutely loathe when shows make me like unforgivable characters, especially that they often succeed. Don't misunderstand, this is a marvelous show with fantasticly written characters with compellingly complicated motivations and loyalties. My point is, I just dread how they are somehow gonna make me like Bosse and Miranjo.
