I'm surprised they didn't immediately pick up on the subtext that the conversation between Loid and Donovan wasn't just about their kids, but was also pretty revealing about how Donovan views the current cold war between their two countries.

I remember when I got to this part in the manga, I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I felt like I had to analyze everything that the mangaka showed and gave us about Donovan Desmond. I can't explain it, but by the end of it, I was genuinely impressed and scared a bit by the build-up about this character. He gave almost nothing, he was controlled or manipulated his own expressions and even during the truths he said, he was unbending and stationary. I genuinely see why such lengths are necessary to even get the smallest thing about him.

To go to this school, you need both parents, which means they have a mother. Which means, the boys have more access to their father than their mother. They already know for sure, they could request their mother's presence and that's not happening, but there's a chance their father might show up. That's a little sad.

Anya can read minds but misreads it a lot. It's like, yes she can read the words but doesn't exactly knows what it means. Then again, that's still too convenient and that's exactly why the plot here needs her to fall asleep and not meet Donovan.

There's a theory going around, you can see scars on either side of his head, sorta where Anya has her horns... Could he have been an experiment, too? IE Mind Reader, why he's on this path... Constantly bombarded with the worst thoughts of the world

I find it suspicious that Anya was conveniently outcold the entire time Donova was there. Yor even commented that Anya is fast asleep "for some reasons". Given that they experimented with psychic powers, I would not be surprise if anti-esper is a thing here.

Gosh, seeing the scene of Loid looking at the 3 boys yelling Stella together hurts since thanks to future manga details, we know exactly what he was thinking at that moment.

My guess is that Loid will attend Donovan's political events and fake being gradually recruited. Combine that with Donovan already recognizing him and knowing his name, Loid will make himself appear to be a "conquest" in that Donovan's rhetoric would be appearing to convert him... Extrapolating from there, a growing association between Loid and Donovan might cause friction within the family if Yor gets concerned about him shmoozing up to a guy like Donovan (even worse if Yuri considers Donovan a domestic threat to the peace).

I don't it's fair to take Endo's words out of context and say that he doesn't like his story and characters. Especially the interview is included in the sxf fanbook (the English version will be released in oct) and there are so many translations of the full transcript in different languages available online. In the interview, Endo's friends and colleagues are teasing him for finally willing to draw an ikeman (Loid being a pretty boy). It is ridiculous how it blew up from his banter with friends: "yeah I don't really want Loid to be a pretty boy", and from there his words got twisted into "I don't like the story and the characters I write".

Ironically though, with a core of connection and warmth :P Anya wanted nothing more than a loving family, and Yor and Loid - while keeping stuff from each other - do genuinely appreciate each other's selves rather than strictly staying professional when there's no prying eyes

Tatsuya Endo actually has (or had, I haven't looked to see if he's said anything recently) mixed feelings about the manga. I don't remember exactly, so someone correct me if I'm wrong. But he said while he appreciated the popularity of the show and it's ability to help him through the slump he had been in, he actually had no real connection or attachment to any of the characters. Since his previous works hadn't had much success, he gave up on writing what he liked and did something opposite and mainstream to try and please his editor and the public. Which obviously worked, but again, the story/style of Spy x Family is not his jam.
