The plot / scene arrangement + writing in this ... the way it works in so many of the key historical star wars themes ( let me look upon you, father son, the training of the jedi, etc. , etc. ) while simultaneously opening 3 new, huge story arcs ( Mando cont'd with Dhinn and Boca, Fet series, and a luke / grogu w perhaps creation of next gen of Jedi arc ) was nothing short of spectacular. Shows how movie making MUST have a good story to tell and good writing. W/O that, your are DOA before you start. Meanwhile , with it, you then have platform for greatness with proper; direction, acting, and cinematography. Touched on all of the major themes, brought together all the loose ends, hit all the right feels. Have NEVER felt that fulfilled at the end of TV season or the end of a sequel movie. Future filmmakers take note, THAT is how its done ! This episode will go down as a master class of story telling.

Din knew to expect a jedi at some point, but nobody else in the room did. Just imagine how scary it'd be, having heard of (or in Bo-katan's and probably Gideon's case seen) jedi, to see that man mow through all those dark troopers and having NO idea who it is or what they want! Gideon's face was amazing there, wow! Such a display probably makes you feel pretty small and insignificant.

About the "Book of Boba Fett". What if "The Mandalorian" as a series will consist of "books" about different mandalorians. The first two seasons of Mandalorian were effectively "The Book of Din Djarin", now we continue with Book of Boba Fett, then we can move to books of Sabine Wren and Bo-Katan and finish with a book of Grogu:)

This episode was so fun to watch. That reveal of Luke was certainly a pleasant surprise for the eyes. This face tracking was actually pretty nice, and I can definitely see Disney getting better with the face stuff down the road. I'm sad to see the family split up, but I guess it was time to say goodbye to the little guy. My question now is what will happen to little Grogu? I mean, if this lines up right, wouldn't he be there when all the Ben Solo nonsense happened? I mean, seeing how young Luke was shown here kind of shows where this all took place within the Star Wars time. It's still a little while longer until the whole "killing all the Jedai apprentices" thing. Love this show way too much!

One of Grogu's strong points is that he is extremely long lived. He could be used for anything! He could appear in some of the upcoming series, or he could just get some training and leave, and appear in some future content set after the Rey movie trilogy.

Good Job. I noticed that a lot of people are like, IS THE MANDALORIAN, story over? That got me thinking back to the winter before Mandalorian debuted. The fans were like 'Why don't they just call it the Boba Fett show?' Then after the first episode it was like: 'Oh, so this is going to be like a different Mandalorian, and this is really a bounty hunter show. But I loved the baby Yoda', later it was: 'Oh, Mando really loves Grogu--notice how no one was calling Mando Din, but they instantly started calling baby Yoda Grogu? Now that they are finally getting a Boba Fett show those same people are like: 'Is this the end of Mando and Grogu? Maybe Boba Fett is getting his own show and Din will be back too.' That is a full circle of expectation, disappointment, acceptance, and then confusion. Having Luke come for baby Yoda was the only Jedi people would have accepted to see take him from Din. No other Jedi would have been acceptable. Still, I loved the attempt to use Mark but it shows that Disney exes were putting the present over the future. The proof of this is that IF they wanted to, they could have wedged in a Luke Academy show, where he is establishing and training you younglings including baby Yoda, all they would have had to do was cast Seb. Stan as Luke here, and the fans would have accepted it, but it would not have been the orgasmic release that seeing Luke was for so many, including you guys.

Bo is not exactly a good person. Still, I hope that she gets her redemption in season 3. Din is basically the reluctant hero and has shown his leadership skills by uniting different cultures to work together like the people of Mos Pelgo and the Tuskens. The thing is, like Luke Skywalker, I also want Din to live happily and peacefully. Being king of Mandalore will not give him that.

We all know the hypest part of the episode, but I'd like to point out the rest of it up until that point was STILL one of the better episodes of the season if not THE best. - Kidnapping Doctor Pershing (the banter with the Imp) - Din and Boba finding the other two Mandos and their spat - Faking a pirate pursuit to access the cruiser - All female action scene without drawing any attention to it - Din getting his shit pushed in by a Dark Trooper and barely managing to destroy it - Din meeting Gideon and their fight - Gideon's epic gambit to form a split between Din and Bo - The Dark Troopers pounding on the door like the Uruk-Hai at Helms Deep in LOTR. Great stuff.

It's also really awesome that Luke was demonstrating some dark side powers in this fight while still clearly being an agent of the light, as original luke was supposed to be in Episode 6. The ending scene when Luke comes out of the elevator also mirrors the Vader scene at the end of Rogue One. Good stuff. Love how violently he swings his saber around, too, which was also a very Luke trait.

There was no timed thing (aside from getting to the dark troopers on time), getting in and getting out. The light cruiser was understaffed, and Bo wanted to kill everyone, take it, and keep it for her effort in reclaiming Mandalore. At least that was her original intention.

I guess the "Mandalorian" story is done, but, Din Djarin will still go on. Think of it as The Mandalorian was an introduction of the character, "a Mandalorian", and a setup of the next tales (books), so next will be "The Book of Boba Fett" (tale), and there will be a Ashoka Tano tale, Din Djarin and Bo Katan follow up, another tale, and so on. As much as we want to se more of Din Djarin, it's better to be left aside, for now, so they can explore more of the star wars universe that we haven't got to see on the movies (the lore), that we all love about star wars. Not just heroes and villains.
