Where do I start… my wife and I have started extensively. Arguments just seem to happen about directions, but what you said about about the priority of just getting to the destination is more important then who is right and who is wrong has been profound. I have used your advice and it has really made a difference in my marriage. I thank you!

We are really lucky to both be level headed travel partners. In situations like this we are business partners and not husband and wife. We have an objective and need to meet the deadline. Then go back and see what we did wrong, learn from it and then take measures to make sure it doesn't happen again. The key word in all of this is 'we'. We also book most of our travel together so there is no blame when things go wrong. Glad we could help you in your journey 😀.

I have a request, when you mention cities or places you recommend, could you list them so I can find them to go too?
@SOSASATSUNRISE2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely. We do not usually recommend any city unless we have been there which means we have probably made an entire video there. Check our earlier videos or country playlists to see what we have posted. Any further questions we would be happy to answer in the comments. Thanks for watching!

Hey I have been using the esim service airolo in Europe and Mexico. Check out the app, the cost is perhaps a bit more but worth the hassle. You can use per country or a region. Just thought it might save some hassle.
@SOSASATSUNRISE2 жыл бұрын
This comment came at the best time. We have a few countries planned ahead of us where we are only spending a few days in each and we forgot about the possibility of an esim. We will give it a shot! The best advice always comes from other travelers. Thanks again and happy travels.

We got blindsided by “Frank” Mail while studying abroad in the UK! From what we can remember, “franking” mail is a way to pre-pay for it. A lot of businesses use it because you can buy a “Franking Machine.” You print your own label/stamp, and you can put it on anything. You have a pre-paid account, and they bill you later! Good call going with the no-frank mail! 😂
@SOSASATSUNRISE2 жыл бұрын
No way! You can do all the research you want but nothing will prepare you when faced with the decision of franked or not franked and your important mail depends on it! 😀

The joys of flying Ryanair and their crappy secondary airports that they sell under the main city name when the airport is actually miles away in a different location.... I avoid them like the plague despite their super cheap rates lol.

Thank you for your response, I'm thinking on renting an apartment on airbnb any other country you recommend besides Turkey that has a good night life that is not in the EU?
@SOSASATSUNRISE2 жыл бұрын
Well, we do not go out much at night so we may not be the best people to answer that question. Most big cities in eastern Europe will have a night life with bars and clubs open late. I would go wherever the backpackers go and stay in party hostels that offer pub crawls. If you did enter the EU then Krakow, Budapest and Prague would be good choices. Outside the EU I would stick to the Balkan countries where most people flock to the coast in the summer time.

@@SOSASATSUNRISE Havabus 3:57 Madeira-Istanbul Kadikoy I see you got lost a little, will you two be in Istanbul in a couple of weeks? Maybe meet up for lunch with you two my treat, if you're in town
@SOSASATSUNRISE2 жыл бұрын
Ya, we got lost trying to get to our airbnb. Google maps works about 90% of the time walking and not so much for public transit in Turkey. Definitely appreciate the offer of lunch but I am not sure if we will return to Turkey this year. We were talking about making a stop in September on our way east, but the $50 visa is keeping us away. If you can, DM us on instagram or tik tok to see where we are in real time.

Questions I'm heading to Kadikoy what is the best way there from the Airport, also where do you suggest I stay as a solo traveler for a month or two? If you have a link please send thank you keep up the videos
@SOSASATSUNRISE2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching the video. The best (cheapest) way to the center of town form the airport would be the Havabus. It's parked right out front of the airport. We actually have a video that shows the details of this if you're interested. You pay with cash on the bus so be sure to take some out at the airport. You will take the Havabus to the last stop and have to walk a little ways from there. It's not too bad assuming your luggage isn't too big. We recommend booking someplace via Airbnb ahead of time if you can. Istanbul is popular and the nice affordable places book up fast. Kadikoy is nice but its very popular so the prices will be a little higher in this area. Personally, we would never recommend you stay in Istanbul for the entire month or two. If you're willing, take some time to visit other cities. Turkey is huge and offers so much more than what you will get just staying in Istanbul. If you do choose to stay in Istanbul, book multiple places in different areas. There are roughly 40 districts and you wouldn't want to stay in a single location the entire time. Spread out and see as much as you can.

@@SOSASATSUNRISEwhoa, I was hoping you would go with a Wendy’s soft serve + fries comeback. But mayonnaise and french fries?!? Ranch dressing…sure 🤙. But pure unfiltered mayonnaise? I can’t support that 😳🤯🤪
@SOSASATSUNRISE2 жыл бұрын
Wendy's frosty and fries is top notch! Lots of fries comes with mayo in Europe and since the ketchup isn't quite right in most places, you indulge in the mayo. It is good! Better when mixed with ketchup. I remember going to a restaurant in Idaho where they have bottles of ketchup mixed with mayo right on the table and call it 'fry sauce'.
