Luv it... Very Funny 1st time I have come across your vids . I have exactly the same pop up tent and have had many a wrestling competition getting it back into the pouch. Were also struggling somewhat with that map of yours ... I once heard there was a small mystical land mass south of Auckland, population less than a hundred or so they say, Now I see they have a few Hams down there proof of your existence after all. One day I will travel to the bottom of NZ (Auckland fringe, Puke ) and seek out this strange land 😆Regards and 73 's Kris

Coming to NZ at the beginning of March for a few weeks to visit friends. Still on the fence about bringing a SOTA rig. This video doesn't help! LOL! Nice job!! Tom, KB7XL

There are so many peaks in NZ to choose from. Lots of easy to lots of hard. There are 873 peaks in my Provence alone. 73

Gret effort in lugging that gear up there. Love the portable windbreak idea. How did you connect the battery to the 7300? Did you have to make an adapter to fit the 4 pronged power input on the back of the radio?

Ian ZL3GIG here. Sorry for delay in reply. I used the battery cable that comes with the 7300. I didn't touch the rig end, just put Anderson connectors on the other end. That goes to an inline voltage and current monitor and from there to the battery. All Andersons. And you are correct about the weight. I try to keep my walks less than 5 hours in total. But I like to have comfort on the sometimes windy tops so the camp chair and the wind shelter are essential to me! 73
