Soul Blazer (SNES) - Final Boss and Ending

Time to beat this demon and let souls keep flowing.
Two stages to this final boss.
Deathtoll 1
He teleports around and shoots 3 fireballs; two will come down and generally try to home at your direction, and one will home in on you from the start. No big tricks here, it's infinitely easier to just smash him with attacks fast, while trading minimal damage.
Deathtoll 2
He will spawn 4 blue fire pillars on the ground randomly, and the two crystals in his hands will shoot semi homing lasers at you.
The blue fire can be destroyed by your sword/fireballs (dropping gems if you need), and once they are all gone, Deathtoll's eyes and forehead will turn green, when he then shoots 3 large fireballs downwards. That's when he also becomes vulnerable to your own fireballs.
The main part of this fight is learning how to deal with the lasers. They'll be shooting at a predetermined interval you need to get a feel for, and the general way to avoid them is to either stand directly in the middle of the screen to bait them to come zigzagging towards you, and then move to either the right or left away from it when they "bounce" the second time; or standing slightly off center so they'll come diagonally from the left or right, and moving away after the second "bounce". You can shoot some fireballs to cause some slowdown that will make avoiding the lasers easier.
My setup
You'll need the final equipment to cast the Phoenix magic to actually hit the final form of the boss, no two ways about it. Make sure you have a Medical Herb for an emergency. The Super Bracelet is also very nice to have as it will double your attack and defense, making the fight much easier. Lv24 is just right for this boss.
It doesn't matter what you say to Lisa at the end, it just changes the dialog a little.
