the game in general was cheap. you have to buy alot of the costumes exstras and the story was crap. then theres the weapons. you barely get any. remember when each charecter had a ton of weapons to choose from including versions of soul edge and soulcalibur? yeah thats gone now. you get 5 weapons and they suck. Glad i didnt buy the game full price.

It's still impresses me that in scv, they ran out of resources to put in a story mode for every character. But in scvi not only did they retell edge-1. They gave everyone a story and retold the entire franchise while also keeping scv canon.

Xianghua, it was unexpected that she was still no match for Taki. When Taki suddenly became serious, only in a few attacks from Taki did she immediately fall down. Xianghua was very lucky because there was Kilik together with her. Just imagine, Ivy who was so brutal & sadistic was also not able to defeat Taki.

I spent a few hours on the character creation only to find that there are no in game cutscenes (except pre fighting ones). Wtf? Its not as if its impossible. Many games can now feature your own created character in a cutscene...like...oh...I dunno, Monster Hunter, Mass Effect, Dragon's Dogma, Dragon Age, even ****ing Fire Emblem. I could go on. Would it have killed them to make a compelling and animated story for your own character?

This game may have almost no animated cutscenes but the stories on soul chronicle are pretty cool, and i really got to like them. After all, what´s most important is the story itself. Look at street fighter 5, it has a cinematic story mode full of cutscenes but the presentation is a mess. Same with Tekken 7 episodes, a 30 seconds intro, a one round fight, and 30 seconds of ending. This story mode may not be so visually impressive but they tell the story perfectly
