She was never Japanese in the first place...she was adopted by a Japanese and I believed trained her Ian hidden sword

She is actually Latin but was abandoned in Japan til her master took her in as his own. Then Mitsurugi killed him, and now she travels throughout the world with her Umbrella-Blade to seek her master's killer and get revenge.
