This looks so yummy. Thank you for baking those sweet potato for the pies and putting brown sugar in them. I see a lot of people that boil there potatoes (nothing wrong with boiling your potatoes) but when you bake the potatoes you get that natural sugar. My mother told me to bake the potatoes and use brown sugar because it gives the pies a rich beautiful color. We eat with our eyes first. 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

The major ingredient is LOVE💘. I used to care n cook for my mom before she passed and some days I just didn't feel like cooking but yet I prepared it the exact same way and when on those days she would say, YOU DIDN'T FEEL LIKE COOKING DID YOU? And I would be shocked n say how did you know that? She said food taste different when you aren't loving what you're doing even tho everything else, ingredients and method is the same. So now as a chef I've actually had ppl say OOH I CAN TASTE THE LOVE IN THIS DISH! I promise you it's the truth, It's the LOVE that counts. Thank you for the LOVE Miriam.

Girl! Sitting here so happy I could connect and found you! Generator going and doing the best we can. I am here in southeast Louisiana in Galliano right where the storm hit. Hurricane Ida was worse than Betsy when I was 16. We stayed in our house, and house has no damage. Shed a mess. But so so much devastation all around. But we will get through it.
