By Request, this is the second hit from Soul Generation. This was recorded in 1973 and is another gem, but personally I like Body and Soul a little bit better.

The 70's was a great time for the music genre. Because of the many classics generated during this era it's hard to say any one song was your favorite. So much of the music of this generatation has stood the test of time. A compliment to the greatness of the singers and muscians who REALLY SUNG THE SONGS and PLAYED the INSTRUMENTS. MrGoldStander09 it's good to know that teenagers not only recognize but can apprecitate good music. The 1970's you had to have been there. What a great time!!!

This song as well as Creative Funk's READY MADE FAMILY and a whole host of other legendary soul artist's music are inspiring.A little known fact:influenced by Curtis Mayfeild, Jimi Hendrix and Cornell Dupree were innovating this style of music as far back as 1966.

I think Eddie OJ was one of the DJ's on WWRL. And my aunt used to listen to ol' shifty ass Reverend Ike. Ike reminded me of the reverend Richard Pryor played in the movie "Which Way Is Up?"

LOL! My cousin Diane played this song 24/7. She played it so much I hated the song and almost her! I couldn't get the song out of my head! But everytime I hear it., it reminds me of her. And since I rarely see her anymore, that's a good thing!
