"Did everyone get it out of their system? Anyone have anything else? No? Nobody?" My favorite scene in this.

For some reason when Gig talks at 5:24 I can't stop laughing. Maybe it's the way he says it or maybe it's just the wordage itself but it's hilariously awesome. Yes, it's both. xD

...God, that whole virtuous speech stuff REALLY is annoying from the other side (Or from the neutral stance as well) especially when it's with BS logic like "the greater good". Gig made a damn good point in 2:04-2:22. Watching this finally cleared up what I had against those "divine chosen ones" stories and why I favored heroes with great potential, but were victims of circumstance/just chose to rise up and fight so much more. And what he said at the end... man, Gig rocks.

@IsaacGravity Don't get me wrong. She indeed mean well. However, what you said (wanting to live) justified my second point: Revya and Gig esp. never asked to be given the puppet on strings treatment they got before and throughout the actual game. Mind you, just about every greater power was using Gig/Vigilance for their own ends. That included Lord Drazil, right after Vigilance died because angry daddy (King of the lands) blamed him for simply doing his job as opposed to the disease itself.

This had a better setup the normal path's last fight, since we have lines from the whole cast.

Was trying to reply to the long chain of comments. Whoops. But one thing I do like about this path is that odie kicks more ass here

After watching these Demon Path videos, I gotta say, they're really interesting, but I'm glad I didn't choose to do them. It'd be pretty sad to fight against al the truly good characters. Other people may think Gig is "cool" because he acts like a dick and doesn't care about anyone, but from where I sit, he's just an ass. Still, thanks for posting the videos!

@ALK82 ...And you just totally justified why I said that two years back. First. My problem with Virtuous' words was she (to save face) made explicitly clear that there were other ways. It's painstakingly obvious that to kill a monster you need a monster and had a 200-year prep period to ensure her chess game. Yet rather than own up to needing that outside power she plays "for the greater good" as if everything justifies itself just through that self-serving arrogant logic.

@IsaacGravity But yes, you want to live and because you and everyone placed your hopes on those with power and did nothing to try and better your own situations they snapped and now your doing what you should have from the beginning. I say the Devour Lord was far worse than anything Drazil cooled up. The point of Demon Path was just that: The heroes saying screw this and giving all their manipulators in the actual story a taste of twisted payback.

@IsaacGravity have the decency to say thank you after that. There were plenty of people in that game just like that. Just like plenty in your argument. It goes many ways... For all the stuff in Demon Path (many of which made me sick), it was pretty clear Reyva was in pain. And had the power to act on it. Gig, just loved destruction but he was right about the people's attitude. Now there they are, fighting for survival against who was to be their hope. If you wanna discuss this more via PM...

@IsaacGravity Yeah "the greater good" is just BS, the world would be so much better if we do things Gig's way. Oh no wait, the world, it's deities, and existence itself is destroyed if we do it his way. Screw that, I like living! Her argument is legitimate here because Drazil's plans would kill everyone on the planet and there was basically only one way to beat him. Plus he also warped Gig's personality so much that Gig kind of had to be forced to help. The true Gig would help voluntarily.
@IsaacGravity14 жыл бұрын
@ALK82 That argument goes too many ways. Think of it this way: "Don't depend on others. Stand on your own two legs." Help is always nice and it goes without saying that the rich guy is most certainly a dick but that "bum" may not always be the unfortunate victim... They could just be lazy and are monopolizing off the kindness of others, they could be druggies who just want a fix. And worst of all may even have the nerve to criticize the amount you willing to give, brush you off and not even
@ALK8214 жыл бұрын
@ALK82 (continued) Gig is just being selfish here, saying every single person in the world can die before he can be arsed to help. He's like an emo teen pissed at his parents. His point at 2:04 is BS, like a rich guy telling a bum 'just get a million dollars like me and your life won't suck'. If I was younger I would hell yeah along with Gig, but now that I'm older and have family and very close friends that mean a lot to me, you bet your ass I would sacrifice for them if they needed help.
