Rahab's voiced by Neil Ross. He's last role for the Legacy of Kain franchise. He was Malek, King Ottomar and Elzivir in Blood Omen. Too bad he didn't returned in the other games. He is a great voice actor.

@ZeoTheZombie Originally, it was intended that killing Kain would gain Raziel the 'Shift at Will' ability (which would have worked as you'd imagine), and would move on to find / fight Turel in / around the industrial area producing the ash smokestacks you can see belching soot in the distance. It was instead decided that there was just too much game to fit into a single title, and the sequel was planned instead. Personally, I think they made the right choice.

as you progress thru the series you start seeing signs that Kain is not acting out of pure self interest, plus these were his "Sons" since these were the only Vampires he sired personally(due ot the means he was turned into a vampire , Kain couldnt turn others by regular means, for him ot sire a Vampire he had ot split his own soul to pull another one from the Spirit realm into a Corpse, this made his Sons fairly powerful, but they also got the effects of Kain's own corruption hence why they all devolved)

Actually, it's not just out of jealousy that Kain had Raziel executed. Defiance specifically reveals that Kain killed Raziel in order to create a creature with free will, who would be capable of altering history.

Thanks for these videos. They are a great tribute for one of the best games in story n it's fans. But let me tell u that at the begining of this one it's not Rahab's zone music theme (Drowned Abady), it's Melchia's one. I tell u because I'm a big fan of LOK series n I know nearly everthing of them. I love the characters, the music, the very complicated story, etc. I've finished the five games but I think Soul Reaver it's my favorite ;)

The only complaint I have is that Rahab overcoming the Vampires water weakness and his dialogue with Raziel suggests that Kain was forthright about the past and future to Rahab, making him so interesting and stand out...but holy shit was that boss battle WAY TOO EASY

@Hasfast Raziel says when he you meet the first bunch of vampire you fight that "fledglings are devestated by sunlight's touch", all adults are immune to the sun's effects (with the exception of Rahab and his clan). Although that doesn't explain why Kain doesn't die from sunlight in Blood Omen 1, but i guess that might be because he has the Heart of Darkness in him, which could've given Janos' immunity to him.

@Hasfast I think it was explained that vampires during the Sarafan age kept a lot of their humanity. This might have been a reason for their immunity. Unless they were old enough to lose the daylight weakness. Only young vampires are susceptible to it as Raziel explained. Kain is a rather special case, since he wasn't made a vampire by regular means. The heart of darkness might have something to do with it or his role as scion of balance.

He is on the area known as the Drowned Abady. You can arrive there from the Sarafan Tomb. Once you are on the Tomb turn into the spectral realm and the floor "will go down". Follow the way till you encounter Morlock (that it's not other thing that an offspring of Turel). Defeat him and you receive the telekenesis habilitie. Shot a stone that it's blocking the way (it'a had a symbol). Go through that way n you'll arrive to the Sarafan Tomb exit that it's connected to the Abady. Good Luck ;)

Malek was one of the Circle of Nine - the Conflict Guardian, to be specific. Kain tries (and fails) to kill him in Blood Omen 1, Vorador successfully kills him twice, the first of which being shortly after he leaves Raziel's presence with Moebius in SR2.

Then there was a trial in which he was sentenced to be imprisoned in his armour for having failed to protect the circle. Moreover, that didn't occur in an "afterlife location" since in Avernus you can find the very room in which Malek was punished.

Sadly, no. Defiance left things unanswered and had an open ending that invited at least one last game to finish it. There was a sequel in the making, called Dark Prophecy, but it was canceled. Eidos has hinted that they're going to revive the franchise, possibly even this year.

The boss battles in Soul Reaver are nearly great. You do feel they were not able to tweak them to perfection due to time constraints. The ideas behind the bosses and the battles against them are brilliant but could have been implemented better. I would love to see a remake of Soul Reaver/LoK with enhanced visuals and combat.

And the vampires the Serafan killed didn't seem to catch fire, they were simply impaled. Perhaps the sunlight curse was only present in SR1, but was taken out in the other games. D.R.

The Sarafan whom Kain turned to vampires were corrupted by the taint on the pillars. Kain 'contracted' the taint at birth, and passed it on to them when he made them.

This is the only instalment in which Vampires are susceptible to receive damage from daylight. That's weird. Maybe they were planning on making vampires on a more common perspective and then projected it otherwise. Unless Kain and Janos were as immune to the sun as Raziel was, there is no other true explanation why they would not be hurt by it. And another thing baffles me: Daylight seems to pass by the clouds only in certain places of Nosgoth. In others, only that thick gloom and fog exists.
