I wonder how long it took for the first person/s to successfully wrap their car. How much trial and error went into inventing this? This kind of job involves way too much precision than my patience can handle. But an excellent display of the potential of human will power. If somebody wants their car wrinkly, maybe I can do it. Hopefully wrinkly cars become a thing in the future. I'll open "Nick's Wrinkly Wraps."

We owned a graphics company in NYC since the mid 60’s we also owned a sign shop did vinyl signs nylon signs and the one thing 90% of wrappers on social media do is they dont use the same temp when heating before pulling and they dont pull to the same tightness evenly throughout the complete wrap .. so over time some parts will come loose and under light the wrap will look different some parts will be shiny some parts dull it’s because wrappers haven’t been taught the proper way from trained professionals since the beginning they all watched a video and started in there garage but they will never do a perfect job because they never learned the write way

This is my first time on this channel. Can anyone quickly explain the point of wrapping a car, instead of a paint job, or ordering the car in red instead?

One reason is, the wrap protects the original paint. It'll peel off fairly easily when you're ready to remove it . Also some colors just aren't available from the dealer. My friend had his Porsche wrapped with fluorescent orange, like a fishing lure. Looks way better than it sounds.

This is so 10yrs ago type thing. If you have money for a car like that you can choose the colour. The wrap looks super cheap. If you have this much money you can have a deal to get your car replaced every couple of years and just go for a different colour.

@@DeborahEbbitt You can clearly see wrap. If you were patient you could wait for your dealer to ship your favorite color. Again, if you have that much money you don't need to protect your paint by hiding it. It is of course my personal opinion. I would never put something that cheap on a proper car. I would rather pay for my car to be re-painted as now proper body shops can get the actual colour your want.
