Not 70's, 60's and early 60's tops, this is 40 years ago and the soul train dancers were in their teens and early 20's, I know some of them looked older than that but a lot of young people looked older back then, but that's how old they were, so none of them are in their 70's now.

It reminds me my parents having house parties.My uncle was in the hospital ,with terminal leukemia.His friends smuggled him out of the hospital brought him to a New years eve party at our home.He didn't know he had days to live everyone else did..I was six or seven,had to go bed,but they played this all night,along with "Living for the weekend "were his favorites. He passed away January 3,1976 he was 23 yrs old. RIP Uncle Sonny.

Oh how I miss this 😢 🥺❤ What an amazing time to be alive. I was a very young girl and my friends and I would watch this and try to dance to the music. Seemed like more people danced back then. The music made you feel good, feel such a positive vibe. Please can somebody bring this back to be a thing. Soul Train themed parties or clubs?

Loving the Soul Train uploads. IMO I the old skool dancers were more groovy, funky and cool. Most of their music had a lot more heart too...maybe that's why? So much of today's dancing is too hip, slick and cheaply sexual...it equates to having much less substance...and then like most current music...is just commodity.

I love this Period in Music, When this was played in Clubs, The floor filled up. Music brought people together from all Ethnicitys and they had fun. There was no Obesity because people ate Healthier Food and Danced Alot. I'm a Musician not limited to just one Genre like some that couldn't compete so they said "Disco Sucks" but Take a Good Hard Look! Get over it and Dance! Music should move people, if it does'nt,.
