Surprisingly, not much has changed about Maxi's stances since SC1. The only thing I can think of that changed is that my go-to Right Outer combo isnt there anymore. In SC1, Maxi had a combo out of Right Outer of A K K that's really good for closing distances. Just leaving it at A will close the distance and is mostly safe on block (in my experience) as it lands you on the ground (the move is called Tiger's Pounce and it's pretty much a crack shoot kick and is a two-hit Mid). If that move connects (or you want to apply pressure), you can press K as a getup attack and then K again for a possible Ring Out if you're close enough to the edge of the stage. Just thought I'd share a little tidbit from SoulCalibur past.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong. But for whatever reason I can never get him to do the jump kick after the right outer. Or after a neutral gaurd. He always does guillotine kick after neutral. And other kicks after right outer. Any thoughts? The game days just press kick during a right outer. It never works for me.
