SOULFUL STRUT - TRIBUTE TO YOUNG-HOLT UNLTD.

This is a home studio version of Soulful Strut. I put it together during the 2020 Covid pandemic.
In line with keeping other musicians safe; I decided to play all the instruments on this tune.
I call myself 1Man Band.
Some history…
Young-Holt Unlimited were a U.S. soul and jazz instrumental band from Chicago, Illinois.
Drummer Isaac Holt and bassist Eldee Young, formerly members of Ramsey Lewis' jazz trio, formed a group in 1966 and called themselves the Young-Holt Trio.
In 1968 the group scored a #3 Hot 100 hit with this song. It is the instrumental backing track for Barbara Acklin's hit “Am I the Same Girl."
“Soulful Strut” sold over a million copies and was awarded a gold record by the RIAA. It has been covered by many great musicians including Grover Washington Jr.
Young-Holt disbanded in 1974.
