@soulfulnotions26483 жыл бұрын
I love the Bobbiny cord, it works beautifully for these bag. However, I do find it thinner than this Ganxxet cord, so when I use the Bobbiny cord for this bag, I always add 4 more cords on both sides to make up for the size difference and widen it up a bit:)

Hi, I didn't see my question below, I'm having trouble finding braided cord in a variety of colors, so I'm considering twisted cord. What do you think, is there a big difference in the look of the finished bag?
@soulfulnotions26484 жыл бұрын
It will look like twisted rope instead!
@tristandeniau74864 жыл бұрын
@@soulfulnotions2648 LOL, okay don't have enough experience to know how the bag with turn out. But I'll go for the color first and the design of the cord, second. Thanks!
@soulfulnotions26484 жыл бұрын
The only difference in the appearance will be that your cord is twisted. That was the question, correct? Mine is braided so it doesn’t look twisted. Also, the braided cord I used has a little stretch to it and holds knots EXTREMELY well! That mostly why I chose braided cotton air cord for this bag.

Hi, thank you for your videos! This cord is very stretchy. When you cut your cord, do you pull it tight, or let it lay naturally? When I pull it tight, theres a good 2 feet of difference in the measurements.
@soulfulnotions26483 жыл бұрын
I never pull it tight to cut or measure because that wouldn’t be the actual cord length, that would be the length when it is stretched. So most definitely measure and cut when it is layed flat, naturally.

It sounds like somewhere you may have used a wrong cord to make a knot in a previous row. Also, double check that you have the exact amount of cords I do in the video. If everything is the same as the tutorial it’s should work as it shows in the video so something sounds off!

Thank you so much for your kind words! I appreciate it very much🙏🏼 As for the cord, yes, 5mm will definitely work, I do advise to cut a few inches extra for each cord to be safe as it is a little bit thicker so it will take some more rope to create the same amount of knots. ❤️

Hi, I'm a new follower on this channel .. I want to ask what size rope is used to make the bag?
@soulfulnotions26484 жыл бұрын
Hello, it’s 4.5mm braided cotton air rope from Ganxxet.

Can I use thicker macrame cord to make this?
@soulfulnotions26484 жыл бұрын
Yes I don’t see what not, just make sure you cut the cords longer to accommodate the extra length each knot will take using a thicker cord!

love this tutorial because its so well explained! I wanted to make this my first macrame project, but all I have is a twisted cotton 3mm cord. Will that work? and if it does, instead of 24 would like 28 work to make it wider since its a smaller cord?

Thank you so much!!!! And yes, your cord will work just fine, you can add as many extra as you need to to make it as wide as you want, so long as you end up with an even number! ❤️
