In 27 of July 1689 the Scottish Highlander commander Sir John Graham of Claverhouse Viscount of Dundee lead his 2,340,000 Highland army against 4,40,000 Redcoats commanded by Hugh Mackay. Then they took up position on the hill as the Redcoats appeared as the sun setting on their faces. At seven o clock pm Dundee gives the order to his men and the Highlanders began charging down the hill towards the Redcoats managed to reload their muskets before Jacobites attack the Redcoats. One by one then Hugh Mackay order his troops to retreat from the battle. And it was a victory of Sir John Graham and his army. Many causlties the Redcoats had lost 2000 were killed and wounded or captured, He lost half of his men he discribes 600 to 800 were killed in the first battle. But he was been shot by a silver ball in his arm and fell of his horse. And his buried on Blair Castle at Si Brades Kirk his age was 41
