Great version of the song. Thank you, Gaberlunzie. And God bless the memory of the Bonnie Dundee.

We Scots have a sad history memorialized in folk music.

Ha ha ha, the sad history is entirely of your own making. Nobody taught the Scots genocidal inter-clan warfare. The Kirk were such conceited with burners, they kept all their sermons for posterity. Laden with "Nosing out a witch" or "Sniffing out a witch". Cromwell allied himself with the Scottish Calvinists but found their conceit so unbearable he said, "I'd as soon draw my sword against the Kirk as the King". The Scots were defeated by Cromwell, and Sir Walter Scot observed "Cromwell did much to civilize the Scots". At the Restoration (1660) when the Kirk took power again there was an outbreak of witch-burning (one assumes in celebration) The golden age of Scotland : the Enlightenment occurred after 1707. Union with England was the best thing that ever happened to the Scots.

Glad you got that of your chest ya tool. You feel better now. Bonnie Dundee was despised by lowland Scots as he gave the call to kill Scottish Covenantors, chop there heads and hands off the ones who were lucky to survive were sent to the colonies. This song gives a false impression of a supposed support from all of Scotland. Bit like SNP propaganda

@@vinm300probably the most anglocentric interpretation of Scottish history i’ve ever read. What a crock of absolute nonsense
