When a song or music is so original and good, many artists love to perform it and add their touches to it and you recognize it at the first several notes.

this is my absolute favorite version of this tune! Soulive is quickly becoming one of my favorite bands and Derek is absolute fire but how about Susan! how good does she look and sound! I had to do a double take because I was like who is that singer, she looks so young but her voice is unmistakable.

A magical performance right from the vocals to the instrumentals. The guitarist is so magnificent, same as the drumer to the man on the keys. The sax player even killed it. They didn't disappoint as the KingPins would kill the rendition of this song.

come the f*** on, dude!!!! how does something like this NOT make you move in-- scratch that-- STAND UP from your chair & open up your mind and begin to soar... always always a huge fan of ABB, TTB... but Derek is.. Derek is Derek.. anyone not feeling the spirits of Duane & Gregg AND King Curtis himself smiling there upon them-- you're just not looking.. let go, let THIS come in... you won't regret it.. this is bad to the bone, no doubt.. but I think I'm still a bit partial to DT's version from the guitar center blues contest.. THAT has got some serious emotion.. made this 42 yr old man shed a tear or two the first time I heard/watched it... heck, still does. I guess you either get 'it', or you don't.. I got it.. Had it for almost 30 yrs now.. Sh*t never gets old or played out. especially with this group of improv pro's.. love it, brother.. I sure do miss the ABB, even though I wasn't around for the original lineup, I was privileged enough to catch over 30 of their shows.. and the best incarnation of the original magic was most def Derek with Warren.. I was at that 1st "official" show without Dickey.. opening night of the Beacon run.. man, I want to say 2002... could be off a yr or two... but it was magic, from the get-go..
