I started watching from season 1 a couple of years ago. The best part is theres SO many games/seasons that by the time you've caught up, you completely forgot what the happened in first seasons beyond who won. So you can start rewatching it.

Bro you should actually cast 대학대전 (University great battle) the next season they have. It's seriously so entertaining. Because I speak Korean, I can understand most of what they are saying. It's all these hot girls in their 20's playing eachother in starcraft. Surprisingly entertaining stuff. They just had their final a few weeks ago. JSA won. It's cool cuz each Team has 1 or 2 Pro players like Bisu, Sacscri, Light, Best, etc, and then there are different tiers of hot girls playing all the way to choob like 100 apm player.

It's kinda hard if you don't speak Korean, but search 대학대전 and you will find a lot of the teams and the you tube channels of the Streams.

I think you need at least 1 or 2 tiers to be girls in the finals. The weekly streams are mostly only the girls that are attending the training at the university. game 6 spoiler I agree he should have been dropping lings on the tanks, so many of these attacks the lings got vaporized before they could touch the tanks or just go hydra/defiler this game felt a bit like SoulKey forcing the square peg in the circle hole (although eventually he did get Queens) also it was good to see him using drop lords to protect defilers from irradiate probably not as critical as it is vs infantry+vessels but still the defiler/vessel conflict matters

To what degree does broowar casting keep it alive, I wonder? I feel like Korean players will be doing it forever, whether it's cast in english or not. Meanwhile, for every fan of watching the game you get, how many of us actually try to pick the game up? Certainly not I.

attention is the currency of today. If there is more attention on broodwar then it will keep growing, if people stop paying attention to the game then it will disappear. Not that players will all stop playing but that tournaments, livestreams, and casts will cease to exist. Nobody expects you to pick up bw in 2024 and play any games worth watching. to what degree does casting keep bw alive? idgaf I am just doing what I can, trying to draw in more attention to this great game.

It won't die for like 40 years in Korea, but in the West it's pretty dead. There are some casual fans but not that many players who are B/A or higher. Mostly just casual chobo players who have no idea. It's cool that people are putting in the effort though to cast games.

It's kind of insane how anti-terran the new age maps are. Flash is in for a treat. The game has warped to abuse terran on maps as much as possible. Stupid assimilator BS on troy SE, which has a 0% TvP win rate. Minerals always next to cliffs for perfect muta harass on all maps. Making 80% of terrain unbuildable to screw turrets (so much for the terran advantage of "building anywhere"). No cliff space for tank drops, but always impassible cliffs for muta harass. Making a perfect little hidey hole for overlords to camp for perfect intel. Modern map design is such an anti-terran hellhole I'm amazed terrans even bother playing. I get why flash basically quit for 5 years, he was pretty fed up with the BS in the last few ASLs before military and he made it clear he know the mapmakers were being blatantly anti-tterran.

Or how island maps always have special mineral patches just to make sure terrans can't float a CC over, even though that's supposed to be an inherent part of the game. Modern SC is such a joke.

wow, so this terran race and light are so bad...royal is much better than light vs zerg...you can't play so bad as light(you 8 rack vs hatchery first, kill a lot of drone and than lose like a beginner with the same and the same mistake light does vs soulkey...send the marines and don;t pay attention, than marines +medics are killed only by zerglings...what a beginner, the same mistake is doing all the time vs top zerg...light has the speed but vs top enemy he's just auto pilot and don;t think at all...he's not adapting at all and lost every time like a beginner...
