I loved my bf for 15 years until he died. I learned "Love" is a verb. A real relationship or friendship is one where both people are nourished, not depleted. Love is built one truth at a time. Love NEVER lies to the other person. Love is when you sacrifice time, energy, and/or resources to the other person, without expecting anything in return. Love reciprocates. If love is only coming from one person, and not returned...it is a one sided friendship or relationship. I miss my soulmate.

I agree with the idea of multiple soulmates that span region and even our sense of time, but I'd extend that by saying soulmates are not exclusive to a romantic relationship. I believe you can find a soulmate in just basic non romantic friendship. I have friends in my life that to live without them, would be damn near impossible. They've changed my life (and I theirs) in ways I never thought possible, but they are family to me rather than people I want to date.

Yes I believe in soul mates. To me a soul mate isn't just one specific person it could be many people. To me a soul mate is someone you connect well with and you once you've been together for X almost of years and you can see yourself with that one person for the rest of your life.

When I read Plato's Symposium (a couple of years ago; I'm going off of memory), I realized that that text was the likely source or catalyst for a lot of this notion of a soulmate in Western society; it brings up a metaphor of there being a four-armed, two-headed species that the gods divided, and everyone is literally looking for their 'other half.' The huge surprise for me was that it is mentioned that there were this species had three genders: fully male, fully female, and half-each...meaning that the source of this whole soulmate thing treats same-sex relationships as being on the same level as opposite-sex ones, which is beautiful and feels refreshingly like millennia ahead of its time.

Not to compare but I'm gonna do it anyways: Mark and Ethan: Seem to be having problems lately and seem to be sooooo distant and what not. I agree with the Methan one, they seem to be getting a little distant and they claim its because Ethan is "camera shy" but he was always on the vlogs for like awhile and then randomly dropped off. I haven't watched a v2 video since before December because of that reason, I don't have a problem with loud laughs (I have one of those laughs too, but I only use it if something is genuinely funny), vinny does seem to overdo it with his laugh at the smallest things and it got kind of annoying. Idk if he's doing it for attention or if he actually laughs like that but whatever lol 2 beeps, is one of the best gay couples on utube With Wyler, I don't really have a problem with the Marijuana but yea they do use it a lot in videos, but like I said..I don't really have a problem with it. I'm not sure soulmates and romantic partners are necessarily the same things. I feel more of a soulmate with my straight best friend, whereas I don't have a romantic partner. Maybe if I ever found someone who I felt that kind of a connection with and was also romantically involved with I might think differently, but for now I think you can have a soulmate who you're not attracted to physically or romantically, and you can be physically romantically attracted to someone who isn't what I would call a soulmate.

Do you know where the whole idea comes from? Beep2 actually defined it more like the ORIGINAL definition as described by Plato in Symposium. Two halves, two pieces. But his theory was based more on the idea that the two halves started out as one back in cosmic history. . This whole thing is where the idea of "platonic" love gets its origin. /end nerdiness

I"m really curious from one of your other videos on how you met. When you guys were acquaintances then roommates (and you had said you weren't friends at that time), did you guys feel anything for each other or had an attraction to each other, or was it only until Jeremy really wanted to push for a friendship w/ John did things actually spark like attraction, etc? I do not believe in soul mates, unless it's like Beep 2 says and there are multiple ones, because I believe one can be compatible with a number of people and there isn't only "THE ONE" for you. I don't believe in love at first site either, but I do believe it can develop pretty quickly. If you see someone and are smitten with them, and then you talk to them and find you have a lot in common and are compatible, that can happen fast...but at first sight? No.
