I too am a survivor of stage 4 osteosarcoma, which is pretty much unheard of. I am now 42 years old and have been cancer free for 14 years after battling for my life for almost a decade. Any young female of European descent should be especially aware of their bodies. It often starts in your late teen years as persistent pain in your leg, ribs or as in my case head. Most times it is found too late because it is only when the pain is severe that you are diagnosed. So please, please listen to your bodies. Know when to be your own advocate!

Not talking about your relatives, but I think, this "I won't get married, I'm not so into tying myself to one person for the rest of my life" attitude often comes from a place of insecurity and conscious or unconscious pretension. Like I will loudly affirm everyone, mostly myself that I'm strong and confident and free on my own because I'm afraid to show vulnerability and admit that being fully accepted by someone for who I am as I am and totally giving in to them is all I crave and long for. Wait maybe I’m just stupid but when they asked if they “talked about end of life arrangements with their parents,” didn’t it mean like the end of their parent’s lives? She answered as if she was the one that was going to die (which makes sense since she was thinking about when she was sick) but I thought it was asking about the parents so I’m CONFUSED :)

It was asking about if they had discussed what would happen if they died with their parents, not if they had discussed with them what would happen if their parents died if that makes sense
