I've actually done a ride along before with the Daphne, Alabama Police Department. The only call me and the officer went on was for a house fire but I did stay in the car the whole time. And here's the real truth about ride alongs, they actually don't allow them unless they have a program that offers them. In Baldwin County, Alabama, the Gulf Shores Police Department and the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office allows ride alongs through their Citizens Police Academy. The reason I still got to do a ride along with Daphne PD was because I have Autism and other mental health disorders and the Daphne PD actually supports Autism Awareness.
