Yeah it depends on alot of things, what kind of drumheads, which brand and so on. But a word of advice, when tuning them, be sure to apply even tension everywhere.
@SoultoneCymbalsusa11 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Mics are meant to transfer sound not to change it. that's the sound of the kit and cymbals.

@thedrumminmaniac12 жыл бұрын
I don't know if this helps but if you want your drums to resonate less, tune your resonant head a half step lower than your batter and if you want your drums to resonate more, tune your resonant head a half step higher. Start with a good pitch on your batter that isn't too flat from it being so lose or too dead from it being so tight than tune your resonant had accordingly.

It also depends on the material of your heads. The thinner the head the thinner and higher pitched the sound will be, and it will accentuate the attack and resonance (depending on what side it's on) the thicker the material, the deeper or more wooden the sound will be. That's just the tip though, I encourage you to research. As for these drums, I would say that they have a medium thickness or doubly layer on the batter head, which is in turn tuned to a solid tight. The resonant heads are

They do got the natural edge, it's on the other side. We tried it both ways, when the natural ring is on top (where you hit the cymbal) it's drier, when it's on the bottom it's got more open sound

That's beautiful music. I especially like the 19" cymbals. I really like the Bible when it says "whatsoever you do, do with all your soul and with all your strength and wit all your might". I also like where it says "Praise him with the loud cymbals" and "Let everything praise the Lord" I am not gifted in music but I appreciate excellent music so thanks.a lot. Let me finish by saying "The Lord is worthy to be praised because he formed the foundations of the earth and he redeemed his people from their sins."

I just saw the review and this brand for the first time, but I think they are called SOULtone for a reason ;). I love the sound of the hats, the crashes and the ride sounds very balanced. I do agree that the splashes could use a little mass/punch to them. You can hardly hear them in the demo. Also 17" kicked the crap out of 7" a couple of times, haha!

^This. It's in all of us. Two years ago I couldn't sustain a 4/4 rock beat. I'm fluently playing to my favorite melodic death metal and power metal bands now. It's a lot of self-motivation and persistence on the user-end.

@Robert - Find out what heads are on this thing, and then go to this site totaldrumsets and then to the drum-tuning page. Not saying you can't tune a drum set but recently I went back and re-learned how to tune after years of frustration and this site really helped. It took a while to go through that page. I have a maple kit and I thought maybe there was something wrong with it, but it was me. I had to really dial in the tuning after getting it close to where I thought it should be.
@aenima317411 жыл бұрын
Also, I think you could could get a similar sound with either the combo of Evans G1 reso, G2 batter or Remo Clear Emperor batter and Clear Ambassador reso. Then it is just in the tuning. Tune the reso higher to a nice warm tone and then tune the batter to that, then detune the top a bit to fatten it up.
