Sound Bar not turning on? Samsung Model (HW-N550) PCB troubleshooting

This soundbar is having issues turning on it seems to be an issue with the DVD encoder IC.

This might be the same problem on my Samsung soundbar [HW-H450]. I thought the power supply had gone bad, but that wasn’t the problem. I wish I had the equipment you have to perform my own diagnostic and repair, but I’m going to have to take it to a repair shop. In your most honest opinion, is it worth taking it to get repaired? Or should I purchase another one? I don’t even want to spend more than $80-$90. Is that the average repair service for something like this? Thanks in advance, and great video. It’s very useful

usually they are relatively cheap but phone and ask how much would the repair cost.

I have the same model and it just died. Screen won’t turn on. Power supply is providing 24v. Opened up and nothing was loose or looked physically wrong.

Hey i program a.i. models and stuff but still dont know QNYTHING about electricity. When you touched the power cable while checking the current and stuff with your finger and the ground, can you explain why you do it that way as well as why you didnt do a toaster-pop with a fork kinda part right there in the vid for effect? Thanks, lol we all journey on different branches in life. Electricity is magic and tesla os gandolf on ny end of things

I’ve got the same exact model it’s finally crapping out on me. The display shows ON and stays frozen only switching to tv arc after a few minutes and then the volume control is all over the place
