Just shows how great it is listening blind, even if through my own headphones which will inevitable colour the sound themselves. Wrote down my preference on both just before they switched to show the amps - preferred the AXA35 over the others both times!

To my ears, the 61 has the brightest treble, and the most recessed midrange, which I've pointed out about it in the past, which is its biggest fault. If it had a little fuller midrange I would like it a lot more. The 35 has a little brighter treble than the 25, but also seems to have a more recessed midrange than the 25, but not as much as the 61. The 25 has the fullest midrange, which makes it sound the punchiest and the best balanced to me. Thanks for getting this up so fast. You should have 100,000 subscribers. These audio comparisons are the most useful of all the audio oriented KZbin channels, IMO

The 25 has a little more punch at lower volumes than the 35.

I have the AXA35 connected to a Schiit Modi 3+ outboard DAC, driving a pair of Klipsch RP600Ms. This was supposed to be a temporary setup, but the combination sounds so good I've lost all desire to upgrade my amp.

If you get a chance, check out the Modi 3E. It’s an amazing DAC. It’s a lot smoother than some of the ChiFi DACS I’ve owned.

I was to update my 35 to the CXA61, but now not sure. For me CXA61 has better imaging, more laid back, but recessed upper midrange. The 35 has more treble, it is more dynamic than the 25, and it brings forward the voice. Even on same price I would hesitating between these... the AXAs has better value in my opinion. Nice comparison :) Thank you.

Remembering they'll All sound completely different in Your homes, with your gear and Your sources. But Cambridge Audio is a nice choice for "Buck Banging" performance!

Both AXA's are doing quite well compared to the 61. I'm less impressed by the way the 61 is 'voiced' re. midrange and highs. Both AXA's represent, imo, very good value for the money. It prob. depend on how much power you (really) need, roomsize and speaker signature, but I would def. audition the AXA's first. Nice one E Project! 👊

this is the best comparison in the entire internet. It is especially cool to listen with headphones. The difference in the sound of the components is very different. I'm waiting for a comparison with Denon 600 NE, which is with bluetooth -Cambridge Audio AXA35.

CXA61 in my opinion, has a more reverberation in sound. This is what I hear. AXA35 is the winner here. AXA25 very close.

I have the 25 and 35, both great but the 35 is a bit better... The 35 has a torridal transformer, the 25 doesn't.

The CXA61 has better dynamics, better soundstage, more details and reproduces the full frequency range. The treble roll off of the AXAs lead to apparently thicker mids that are appealing to some, and given the price difference they are appealing to many. Especially the punchy sounding AXA25 is a bargain.

Also remember that the AXA 25 and 35 have tone controls, the CXA doesn't.

C, CXA61 was better in every way, with better dynamics and information retrieval aka better resolution/details. The second best was AXA35. But AXA 35 has a secret, it needs speakers with at least 91-92-93 dB of sensitivity in order to perform at the high-end level.

AXA35 - Balanced with lows and mids, AXA25 Slightly less balance with lows and mids, and CXA61 thin delivery of lows and mids. The AXA35 was the warmest and the CXA61the thinnest.

Sound colour wise the AXA's are more of a fit with the LS 50 Meta. The CXA61 sounds brighter but also better soundstage and more low bass control. But not a good match with these speakers unless you are a detail freak audiophile.

I tried cxa 81 with different speakers. Kef q150 sound darker , relax, with klipsch its to much, with qacoustic 3020i sounds right, with 3030i sound bigger and widder. I think the Cambridge sounds right with darker sounding speakers to my ears. But the cxa 25 and 35 sounds good aswell.

The 500 is much better balanced. It's by far one of the best designed of all the Klipsch speakers in this range. The 600 is too bright on top, and has a suckout in the midrange. You can clearly hear this in his comaprison of the two with the Yamaha amp. He has one with the 400, 500, and 600, and one with the 500 and 600, and one with the 400 and 500, and one with the 400 and 600. The 600 sounds better with the Yamaha amp he uses than I've ever heard it with any other amp. It's less sucked out in the mids and more tame in the treble and has nice deep and punchy bass with that amp, which the 500 can't quite match

KEF Ls50 and CX61 are not a optimal combo. Fatiguing. Need some more neutral speakers. My choice would be the Dali Oberon 1 or 3, if budget allows it.

AXA25 the darkest (warm), AXA35 a bit brighter, bit less base and energy as the 25, CXA61 brightest maybe for warm speakers

I have the axa35 and the headphone jack isn't that good in my opinion.. I prefer the sound from my phone or my computer lol

CXA25 and CXA61 have NO photo inputs. No go. CXA 35 does. For the $$$, it's the best deal. All sounded good, but for some, that photo input comes in handy.

If you already have a phono preamp you're good to go. I like the AXA 35 but am a little more intrigued by the CXA 61 60 watts of power.

AXA25 is lean, bright and no base. Pairing up with jbl stage 130 is almost unbearable. I'm waiting on a new dac to see if it solves my setup

AXA35 sounds FLAT AXA61 sounds tinny with echo, better sound stage but yuck sound AXA25 is the nicest with a warmer sound and heavier base, just the way I like it. Also the analog knobs are better tbh. Unfortunately all 3 look like trash. Make them look slick I'd pay $100 more for that. Also more depth and slimmer width for desktop users.

I find these "comparisons" quite pointless, considering I'm listening through a Samsung tablet, I am limited to a poor sound quality as, the speakers on my tablet are very average, so no matter how good or bad these amps are, they sound almost exactly the same. What's the point in a test such as this if we're listening on basic equipment that often has poor speakers. Pointless comparison.
