At first it seems like the Vincent all the way, more forward sound but after listening a little bit more the Yamaha sounds blacker and more depth and separation, that’s what I’m hearing

I love the comparison even though it’s a huge price difference,, I believe the sound signature would be the same even on the more expensive Vincent and still coming about a grand or more less than the Yamaha

I have this Vincent and the Yamaha AS2200. The Vincent won position in my main system and the Yamaha is now relegated to my bedroom system. These are very different sounding amplifiers: AS2200 leans a bit cold and analytical while the svk mkii leans warm and rich. With my Forte iv"s only the Vincent could give me the powerful bass sound I expected from large speakers with 12 inch woofers. Yamaha with Forte's was too unforgiving of less than perfect recordings. The Vincent tames the horns and the tone/loudness controls are so good that I can make music sound as juiced up and poweful or as laid back as I want.

even at my age with diminished hearing , the Vincent is the winner . Can i describe the difference? Hell No , but i can experience it subjectively . 😂

Price wise, the comparison must have been the Vincent SV-737. No fair/good comparison right now with a $1000 difference
