How to import samples into MPF: Get into edit mode Trigger "Show sample editor" button Drag & Drop your sample into the map wherever you want Click on your new sample on the sample map and select "waveform" Toggle on "Loop" Bam! Easy

Technical correction here, Metaphysical Function's sample section is not granular, just simply a sampler/sample player. Not sure why he keeps saying it's granular.

Can someone please help me out...basically whenever i try to record metaphysical function in maschine 2 the loop or sample never plays. Like how do you turn it on and off and why dont the sample export out in the recording?? It only plays when i reload it again..

Hey - can anyone advise on how to crossfade the sample loop within metaphysical function? I'm getting lots of pops as it plays round again and its so hard to microadjust timings on that little loop window. Is there something obvious I'm missing?

a little late but like with any vst in Reaktor you can import a sample upper right the waveform looking tab should open you file browser at the bottom. Delete the base sounds and drag in your own and they will coordinate to whatever number you have under "select". Sorry I'm drunk but hope this helps.

@@insidestoryoflife a bit late so you probably already figured this out but on the top of Reaktor there's a kind of "drum sample waveform shape", click on that and a list appear beneath the ensamble, add your own sample at the bottom of the list and there you go, enable the loop function in order to keep it going once you select the sample on MF, otherwise It'll just Play once

So let me get this straight: I'm supposed to buy a diploma course from a bloke who doesn't know that middle C is MIDI note number 60? I love the English (and Welsh, Scots and Irish), I'm sad about the disastrous Brexit-referendum result, but this just takes the cake...

ouch... I must have missed that, since I closed the video halfway. I'd had enough of the random sounds, random automation, apply comb filter, magic potion and poof, instant "interesting stuff". Still not sure what metaphysics got to do with it though.

+chaosme1ster the ensemble itself is still brilliant. it's really good for ambient textures. just go through the presets to see what it can do. it's pretty amazing

We can reassure you that Dave is an extremely competent instructor and we'll put down both his Open Sound Control error and this MIDI Note number mistake to nerves. As this video wasn't about either OSC or MIDI, we hope you enjoyed learning about Metaphysical Function and all that it is capable of, which Dave explained excellently 👍🏻
