Me when the chips are literally the same (I think) except the 2413 has limited patches.

There are some small differences with the FM of each of them, so they're very similar, but not exactly the same. The OPLL also only has 2 base waveforms: a sine and a half sine, whereas the OPL2 has 4 waveforms: a sine, a half sine, an absolute sine, and a quarter sine. There might be more differences than that, but those 2 were the ones I remembered at the moment.
