i know Ed has a signature strat, i think he uses a Rickenbacker on occasion and i have seen him use the Johnny Marr signature Fender Jaguar, a Mesa Boogie combo with a vox AC30 and i saw a video on his pedals but i haven't looked at it again so you'll have to see for yourself and choose what they do have on the board which is in the andertons website

For a quick video "without breaking the bank" it was petty good but in no way spot on. Also, to get that it required experience and knowledge. You can't just go buy that shit and also get somewhere near. So good job from them but it just wasnt it. Hence them being Radiohead :D

Let's start by giving some cred to both of these guys for their outstanding musicianship. The quality of their playing and musical insight is awe inspiring. Second, their technical knowledge is beyond impressive. It's so useful to see what different combinations of instruments, pedals and amps can achieve - such a great way to sell gear by showing what it actually does!

** I would love to see a 'Sounds like X by using a computer' episode / series ** Most of us aren't going to buy a particular pedal for one part of a song, even if it is cheap so having a computer and exploring affordable guitar amp effect software installed would be great for us beginners who just play at home and want to strum along to a wide variety of songs to keep things interesting. I know this series is ultimately designed to promote the shop but you guys sell software too as well as computers and peripherals. Anyway, as always - great episode. I love watching these shows. As for a band suggestion: Despite being tech savvy I like old school so ... Sounds Like The Cars? Keep up the great work Peace. Out.

That was great! I haven't listened to much Radiohead, but it was interesting seeing how you used the pedals to change your tonal palette. On an unrelated note, it might be interesting to see you guys try to do a "Sounds Like" with a Line 6 Spider amp of some sort. They get a ton of crap from just about everyone, but they're also pretty much the most common amps out in the wild. I'd love to see if you guys could pull some good tones out of one without relying on pedals or if it's just a lost cause.

Cover-band challenge: sound like 10 completely different bands without busting the bank. One guitar, one amp, and, say, no more than three pedals. Possible starting point: Squier HSS Strat, Boss Katana 100. Plenty of cash left over for one or two multi-effects pedals, plus something a little more specialised.

I dont know if thats possible. He used an external unit, a mutronics mutator, that would drive the signal random and crazy. Normally, at a live situation you would go crazy with tape echo pedals and a whammy, but if you want something thats close, you would have to get a step sequencer and put it at full speed. I think ehx have something like that. This guitar moment its similar to Whole Lotta Love before Page's solo, you just have to go trippy and crazy. You have the freedom to do whatever you want. I love this kind of moments because of that.

William Allison i'm pretty sure i've seen you commenting on radiohead covers before omg hahaha. But you're right, i also really like tom morello and he uses the killswitch a lot and i don't have the money for all the effects sadly 😂

it's ok, if i got a guitar for Paranoid Android it'd be a Telecaster deluxe with the top mounted pickup selector and the seperate volume knobs, that one is like a killswitch but it will knacker your selector switch after a while like it did to my les paul so i'd reccomend getting something like a Cort Matt Bellamy MBC1 or an Epiphone Wilshire Phant O Matic cos they both have killswitch buttons on them

Very nice and well thought of pair of rigs! Rabea's tone in particular caught me by suprise, while it could have benefited from a nicer amp for some of the near break up tones, but this is insanely good for a Without Busting video. Ed O'Brien's tone can be quite elusive too, especially with all the changes in gear, so I'm glad you went with a generic "good sounding" rig. It works well enough here, although it might not be that close to the album tones. Looking forward to the By Busting one!
