I love the way you clearly studied the way the national lyrics work. Rhymes - Rhymes - Then no rhyme “Real”. Sounds right on. Excellent attention to detail even though you don’t call attention to that aspect.

to be honest I didn’t even notice this! but I’ve definitely listened to enough of their music to subconsciously pick up on that kind of thing, and you’re so right - it’s a total staple of their style. well observed!

Originally, independent music is not about the sound. It just means a band that retains its artistic integrity and usually is on an independent lable. Funny that people now think of a certain sound.
