It looks very cool with this exhaust. I love the way it's wrapped. Looking for some ideas for my yet to come 48.

Did you ever get these for your breakout ? If so what do they sound like ?
@augustoyegros48196 жыл бұрын
First of all, GREAT bike, I have a XL1200, and want to give it a bobber look, but without cutting anything, no bobber per se. How did you got that look? You havent cut anything? You just change the seat? Thanks!
@ridingdigital6 жыл бұрын
Thanks man. Nothing cut on mine, I've now replaced the rear plate for a side plate which really helped the bobber look without any permanent changes. I've made videos on pretty well all the mods I've done but when I did this one it was really just the seat, tank and lower rear springs

why are your heat shields wrapped? does the coating not hold up to the heat?
@ridingdigital3 жыл бұрын
the wrap was purely aesthetics, the pipes did get hot (glowed inside actually) but ran it like this for 5 years and it ran fine 👍🏻
@jeromecorvez66086 жыл бұрын
Hi man what’s up ? I really like these pipes they look awsome ! Is it possible to remove the baffle for more noise on this one ?
@ridingdigital6 жыл бұрын
Hey, no not on these they're integrated into the pipe

Hey what's up man? How are you liking your Lowndown so far? I live in Brazil and I thinking about buying one for my 48!!
@ridingdigital8 жыл бұрын
Hey bro, there awesome! I've never seen anyone else with them and get lots of comments. They are low though, scraped them cornering with my 11.5" rear shocks, but it's OK when you're careful. The only problem is the end cap kept falling off so I glued it on. I'll do a proper video review on the exhaust soon.
@LeoDnJr8 жыл бұрын
Cool man!! They do look awesome! By the way congrats for your bike, she is beautiful Are 11.5" the stock shocks? How are these pipes performance? Do they sound better than V&H Shorts? Looking forward for your next video :)
@LeoDnJr8 жыл бұрын
Also, did you install them yourself? Was it easy? Sorry about so many questions, just really exited with my new bike :)
@ridingdigital8 жыл бұрын
11.5" shocks are progressive 412s
@ridingdigital8 жыл бұрын
Pipes were a simple install but it's more fiddly when they're wrapped as you need to line up the head shield on both pipes perfectly to fit the end cap on. when you install just keep everything loose until it's in place and you have the cap fitted! They sound deeper than the V&H short shorts in my opinion. Good luck with yours!

hi pal......I'm thinking the 3.3gall tank...how many miles dya get and also I'm in the UK and could be looking for the tank if you know of anyone or anywhere to get it cheers
@ridingdigital7 жыл бұрын
+teddd10 hey, I tend to refuel every 120 miles, depends what kind of riding but that is when the light comes on for me. Link to the tank I bought is below (I got it from these guys), I'm actually in the US at the moment so it's defaulting to dollars but they are a UK based company. Word of warning, tank does need filling and sanding prep before painting, which cost me £300 all in for the paint job. They make 2 types, this one has a smaller inlet and comes with a custom fuel cap, the other uses a standard Sportster fuel cap. Hope this helps. Riding Digital yeah I've checked them out.... I've actually bought the 4.5gall tank and to be honest it's a bit too big... but I'm still unsure what the better option might be. as you say I'd have to pressure test and tank sealant is a must. my local paint man quoted me £300 to paint it too. man this Harley game is quite expensive... unlike the R1s and Ninjas zx6r I've changed from. Anyway pal thanks for the info and the vids have given me inspiration to self mod too which will save a few bob.... for more mods lol 👍😂
@ridingdigital7 жыл бұрын
I actually didn't seal and pressure test in the end, just had the outside prepped and painted, the shop persuaded me it would be fine and I haven't had any problems. I hear you on costs, I did sell the original tank on eBay though to recoup £230. Good luck, thanks for watching. RD.

Riding Digital eBay it is then...that'll help with costs. thanks bud 👍

+Bonnita Khaliq You think that's bad, check out my video when the exhaust disconnected while I was out riding. It sounded like a machine gun! Not sure on legality, but I've never had an issue RD

why would you wrap around heat shields???Looks dumb,just remove the shields and wrap the pipes
@ridingdigital6 жыл бұрын
Well, without the heatshield you can't have the end cap piece, so it's a rough finish and didn't look right. Plus the pipes looked way too skinny with it, and I liked having the black finish and badge on the shields.
@nellington31316 жыл бұрын
sounds like a honda not a harley, short shots seem to sound better, maybe due to baffle or something. either way, take the wraps off before they rot underneath and fall apart.
