As others have said, Henk is a classical trained singer from the Netherlands. He mostly does opera and musicals. He was the Dutch Phantom for years. Here he sang the Sound of Silence specially for Floor and he learned to use distortion in his voice for this performance.

All four are great, my favorites are Your Man and Despacito but it wouldn't surprise me if you'll prefer the other two. Why the difference? For me it's the funfactor, his versatility not only being an opera/ musical vocalist, and the background of the chosen songs if the subtitles are gonna to be used.

Henk was/is an opera singer who has also performed in musicals. He was the Phantom in The Phantom of the Opera and considered by Andrew Lloyd Webber to be one of the best. Floor Jansen saw him when young and became a huge fan and this was her reason to come on the show. Of course for her it was a huge success as so many of her countrymen at last got to see her ability and her recordings of various songs from the show rocketed up into the playlists. Subsequent to that she was asked to take part in the German version called Sing Meinen Song where she had to talk and sing in German. Again a massive success.

I love the concept of this show, I don't know why the US doesn't do something similar. Instead of all the "Competition" shows. I think it really shows the respect for the artists from their peers!

I know- I know. My mind was obviously not working quite right that day! lol. Hey, it gave you something to comment about, right? Anyway, I don't like doing research before a new reaction. I prefer to go in completely blind, so that my reactions are 100% raw. I don't read about the artist first, so not to form any kind of perceived opinion. It may cause a few gaffs, but I'm ok with that, it gives us something to talk about, and I learn so much from all of you. Much better info than I would get from Google! Cheers!
