Its an incredible sound. My vintage and new Sound Techniques modules are THE best-sounding studio gear I own.

There are so few of these boards (new and original) that I think they will actually go UP in value over time. Can't wait to hear some all-ST recordings done on that...

Nice board.! The EQ is similar to my Trident TSM. Lots of musical sounding choices.
@BoulevardRecording7 ай бұрын
Indeed! TSM boards are cool! But TSM are chip based. Sound Techniques is totally discrete and with large inductors on each eq. Transformer in and out. Much like a solid state Pultec or a Lang EQ!
@davidkellymitchell47477 ай бұрын
@@BoulevardRecording Yes, I used the Trident before I got a 32 channel API Legacy that Paul Wolff built which was the last and final board I bought. Hundreds of discreet opamps and transformers. It was fully loaded with 550L equalizers which are good but the Trident had more surgical Eq in my opinion. The API 4 band EQ's did pick some good frequencies to attentuate although slightly limited compared to the Trident. I used one of the first commercial rack mount EQ's in the 1970's that was made by Audioarts. I couldn't find one band out of five that was musical sounding. The most useless piece of gear I have ever heard. It all depends on where they put the pivot points.

Thats sexy! I have two Neve pre-amps, just a humble home studio setup but, mate, you are a lucky duck to get to drive that beautiful beast!

It’s wild right ? Maybe we will record a Bowie tune soon.

@@BoulevardRecording yes maybe oh! You pretty things, lady stardust, or moonage daydream. If you really want to go all out record Lady grinning Soul, to show off the eq on piano and acoustic guitar

Not here ! Maybe you can find some guts on the forums of people that maybe have opened up their channel strip units. We won’t be sharing that info 🙏
