I came here for Pete, but I'm highly impressed by the vocalist, as well.

The singer is spot on. I mean how good do you want it. These guys gave an incredible performance in the face of losing someone like Chris forever. That crowd don’t even realize what they saw and heard!!!!! Fuckin Awesome!!!!!

Great Set! Pete, your tone (as always) is spot on! Can you tell us which amp you were playing through? I see the Suhr and the Matchless. Maybe the Matchless for the cleans and the Suhr for the dirt? Singer did a great job too! This stuff is so damn hard to sing.

Wait, i'm confused. I just read the date that this was posted & it's from 2016. so how can this be a tribute to Chris because he was still alive! also some of the comments are from months ago, again while he was still alive ? smh
@PeteThorn7 жыл бұрын
This was just a fun gig we did last year, I think it was in early December... as a tribute to the music and the good times we had touring with Chris playing these songs.
@teagrrlll17497 жыл бұрын
Hey Pete, thanks for replying. I know that you were close to Chris & you guys were good buddies so that makes perfect sense. Thanks for the clarification.

15:33 One of those times when you see a performer go for it an NAIL it and ya can't help but smile. I did. Like I did when George Micheal came out of the break down on Somebody to Love at the Queen Freddy Mercury benefit concert back in 92. And like you did in this clip. That's tits.
@SmokedTails6 жыл бұрын
Oh my, thank you for reminding me of that GM performance. It was amazing. Freddy was my first musical loss that struck me to the core. So many since. Thank you for the reminder.

I dunno, man. I thought he sang his heart out. And I'm definitely critical of singers, especially tribute bands. But I think this guy is on point
@teagrrlll17497 жыл бұрын
the guy singing yikes! sounds like a bad cover band. however I know that with pete involved this was a sincere attempt. I mean musically they sound pretty good. but let's face it, there was & will only be one Chris Cornell

Yeah. I'm sure you'd SLAY this guy in a head to head with a mic. not.
