A really great sounding speaker at an affordable price and also very compact. Perfect for biking or the beach.
In addition, an application with an equalizer and a battery indicator is available
Soundcore Motion 300 - $80 - 7/10 -
Great sounding speaker with a nice customizable EQ and an adaptive EQ that changes the sound depending on position. But it can distort sometimes
JBL Partybox Encore - $300-330 - 9/10 -
A good loudspeaker with deep bass for a party. It has an equalizer app and has bass boost options that make it even better
will enhance the party. Additionally, there are 2 microphones in the box (USA) and 1 microphone in the EU. I even prefer the encore to the boombox 3. New models have now better battery.

The Boom 2 has a more controlled bass and less sizzling highs. I’m still tuning mine but not bad so far.

Good comparison, thanks for that! I just sold my Motion Boom which was a great speaker but I felt it lacked some clarity sometimes and ordered the Boom 2. I can’t wait for it to arrive, I hope it will be better than the Boom :)

​@@VainiusMEDIAhey! At first, after I got the Boom 2 I was not impressed with the bass at low levels, but I got a software update soon after, and that solved the issue. I feel that it is an upgrade over my Motion Boom which I sold. It is an upgrade in the bass and clarity at higher levels. This is exactly what I wanted as I was happy with my Motion Boom, but the clarity at higher levels was not the best. I don't think you can get anything better at this price and this size. The Tribit Stormbox Blast would be better, and can be found at a discount sometimes, but for me the Blast is too big.

bro which one of them has a greater battery life at max volume ? I heared that the boom 2 has 3000 mah and the motion boom has 3x more (almost 3x more) ..can you relate that the motion boom has a greater battery on the reality ?

​@@paintingtutorials2d3dprodu22 I usually use it to listen at low levels, below 50% and I rarely use the lights. For me the battery lasts a long time. I had the Motion Boom which I sold and now I have the Boom 2. I feel that the battery in the Boom 2 lasts the same as the Motion Boom. The Boom 2 has the same battery size as the Motion Boom if I remember correctly. It has 4 x 18650, so around 10.000 mah.

I like the Boom 2 better because it clearly has more bass than the Motion Boom. I like speakers that can handle bass at high volumes. As for clarity, it’s just mid. You can customize the EQ to your liking, but overall for the price, it’s a great small speaker. Definitely an upgrade from the previous in my opinion.

I have the SOUNDCORE MOTION BOOM and the SELECT PRO. I will also purchase the SOUNDCORE MOTION BOOM 2. That said I thought that the MOTION BOOM sounded as good if not better than the MOTION BOOM 2 in this video. Great video comparison and thanks for sharing it. 👍

Thanks for this video! I was debating between these two bluetooth speakers and after watching your video I decided to go with the Motion Boom as it is much cheaper with the coupon. I also saw other videos... The Motion Boom can be disassembled and reassembled more easily... With the Boom 2 not so much.

So I’m here looking to replace my motion boom because the two that I have gotten had BT issues. Randomly would start skipping and sounding weird. I tried it with 4 different devices. Even tried to use another Internet connection. Not sure what was wrong. It did sound good when it worked though.

Motion boom have huge peak 11-12khz and thats all clarity, but its really boosted so it can feel as its clean. But its not, Boom 2 have a bit more natural treble, its also boosted but it doesnt have that peak

Yeah I prefer Motion Boom too but only up to 75% volume & higher. Boom 2 sounds quite a bit better at higher volume.

Slightly lacking in lower treble and lower mids-upper bass. Other than it… it sounds amazing. Deep bass is really amazing. Surely gonna blow away the xtreme4😂.

The Boom 2 SE can be found on Aliexpress(30 watts) RMS, while on Amazon, Soundcore official site etc, the main Boom 2 (60/80 watts RMS) can be found there I don't know why they made a gimmick of it and called it Boom 2 SE & it's not on their official website or amazon etc but only on Aliexpress & some folks bought it off Aliexpress thinking it was the main Boom 2 & lamented bitterly later

The boom 2 seems better in bass (especially over 70%, no comparison) , heavier, cleaner. But on 40% the vocals shine more on old boom. But louder than 40, I like vocals also more on boom2. So the boom 2 seems really a very good speaker to me.

Yes, boom 2 is a very different speaker from boom 2 SE even though both physically looks the same The boom 2 is a 60/80 watts rms speaker with rgb lights, it comprises of 2 tweeters and one midrange driver, price is $130 The boom 2 SE, which can be found mostly on Aliexpress is of thesame design with the boom 2 but of lower quality, it comprises of 2 midrange drivers of 15 watts each making it 30 watts rms & it doesn't have rgb lights, price is around $86

Take all these wattage ratings with a pinch of salt, going by that, 30 watts vs 80 watts shouldn't be comparable at all but the difference isn't that much, just like boom 2 plus vs Stormbox blast, 140 watts vs 90 watts, it didn't blow the blast as i thought, the blast even still has a better deep bass more than the boom 2 plus irrespective of the wattage differences
